Unfortunately if you look at the product page for the Fire you'll see the following link: "Important information about purchasing Kindle Fire outside the UK"

When you click on that link it will display this notice:
"Kindle Fire is currently only available to customers in UK and select other countries. Kindle Fire cannot be shipped to other countries, and customers with billing or shipping addresses outside these countries will not have full access to all of Kindle Fire's functionality.

"If you're travelling with Kindle Fire, you can access any content you've downloaded to your device, or connect to Wi-Fi to purchase more books, music and apps from Amazon. To watch movies or TV shows from LOVEFiLM you must be physically present in the UK."

Following on from Bruce's post, you can install app stores other than Amazon, such as goodereader and 1mobile, in order to get apps and ebooks should be available from the .com store (not the UK one).

Do you know of any app that can be downloaded to watch movies in Cyprus?
Also have you been able to play anything form iTunes. Its downloaded but won't play.

Denis Powell says:
If you're a resident of Cyprus you should have your Fire registered to the .com site. The UK site only supplies media to residents of the UK, Ireland, Gibraltar and the Channel Islands. If you're a UK resident in Cyprus temporarily, some apps won't work due to geographical restrictions so you're unlikely to be able to use any UK movie app there.

I didn't think you could install iTunes on a Fire. You should be able to download music from iTunes to your computer and copy it to your Fire.
