For some reason my kindle has suddenly stopped connecting to my wireless so I cant download any books. It happened once before & turning it fully off & leaving it for abit did the trick. That isnt working this time. I have not changed password or settings. It hasnt been working for a few days now. Can anyone help?

Reset your wi-fi hub and try again.

So what have you tried?

How about the old fallback of a Kindle restart?

Failing that, go into settings and log your Kindle off your network, then try logging it back on (you'll need your router's WPA Key password).

David, that's already been done. Sometimes the router will stop access to some devices. Theres usually a button to allow the router to be "seen" allowing connection again. Try that. X

sairsb, turning your Kindle off and then on again isn't the same as doing a Restart. Have you tried that?

Clagg, I can see that the router has been reset, but what I am suggesting is the resetting of the Kindle. In other words to go to wi-fi settings on the Kindle ... if it is still showing his network as 'connected' to select Ignore (his network) ... then Restart the Kindle and perform a fresh scan of available networks, and when his appears in the list ask it to Connect and enter the password.

I can remember a previous similar thread where this cured the problem. Sometimes the Kindle simply gets 'stuck' in a connection and needs to 'relearn' what the preferred network is.

Remember: a RESTART requires holding the power button for a slow count of 20 seconds.
