I really want to read His Dark Materials Trilogy by Philip Pullman and The Whitby Witches Trilogy by Robin Jarvis.Frustratingly though, these aren't available on Kindle. Most of the Robin Jarvis are available and the Philip Pullman is available in German. How frustrating

You could get the audiobooks perhaps?

You'll need to contact the publishers. They're the only ones who can make them available.

eric, - a little respect ( a little more subtle and less blunt) regarding other readers' choice of literature?

I don't have accents on this laptop either, just on my Kindle Fire and my work PC (French AZERTY keyboard)

CBR - whenever I go home ( Switz, haven't been allowed to travel for a while) I use the perfunctory AZERTY - either daughter's or son's spare laptop ( given free of charge to me including all whatever fees involved... ;)
At one time (through help on this forum) I could use "accents" - no longer as I have completely forgotten how to do so!
ETA, takes me a few days (and beyond) to get use to AZERTY

codes and copy past stuff here:

http://webdesign.about.com/od/localization/l/blhtmlcodes-fr.htm

I use it if I need to type something on my lap top that's correct French (or else I borrow my husband's laptop as his is AZERTY)

CBR - I'll contact my daughter, Switz come the morn (she will be back in work) and of a curious nature (I am) her work stretches world wide and I will ask "QWERTY/AZERTY?" keyboard in her office... think it will be Q'rty

I work for a French company, hence the AZERTY, but they've told me I could have a QUERTY on if I wanted one

I actually prefer the AZERTY French one except for one thing: I have to hit a shift to get a period.

I have altered my wording so as to make the statement less blunt, as advised.

I think I've read that some authors won't agree to having their work published other than on paper, so the publisher isn't the only one with a veto.

More Tom Clancy books would be nice...

I have contacted the publishers, i am just waiting now! I don't think anyone else has a say on what i choose to read though Eric.If you don't want to read them, don't.I on the other hand would love to reread them. Unfortunately i only speak and read English. I went on the Philip Pullman page, he said the reason His Dark Materials trilogy is unavailable in English was something to do with Amazon wanting him to sell it for less than he thinks they're worth.

I can recommend the Mortal Engines series by Philip Reeves, he reminds me of Terry Pratchett.
