L. Simpson says:
My kindle won't connect to my home wifi network.
It will connect to other network.
My older kindle WILL connect to my home network.
Any ideas as to why?

What have you tried? Have you tried rebooting your Router?

L. Simpson says:
I didn't reboot the router as my other equipment, phone, tablet and second Kindle were able to connect to it.
I rebooted the Kindle and tried both WPS connection and password connection (both unsuccessful).

Tamburrt says:
I know this is a stupid question but too many years in IT support is my excuse for asking it: is the wireless connectivity on the Kindle turned on.

I apologise for asking the question but always best to start with the most obvious

I know what you mean and it isn't a stupid question.
Wifi IS on and the Kindle can "see" the router, and others, but will not connect.
As indicated in the original post, the Kindle will connect to my office network.
The issue is between my home router and the Kindle.
Will try a router reboot tonight.
Cheers

do you know if your router is b/g or b/g/n. Also is it single band or dual

Under the HELP section at the top of every page on Amazon there is a whole section dedicated to helping people connect their kindle to wi-fi. It even has helpful video's and everything. Perhaps have a look at it, since it seems to cover about 40 other things that you have not looked at yet.

L. Simpson says:
Hi All,
Apologies for not getting back to you yesterday.
I rebooted the router and kindle was able to connect.
For info, it is a Netgear N750, dual band b/g/n/a
Thanks
Les
