There's a BBC radio app in the Amazon Store John, download the BBC media player as well, and Bob should be your uncle :)

Brian says:
There's BBC iPlayer, BBC iPlayer radio, and BBC podcast apps, you could get them all , John, but don't forget to download the BBC media player app too, or they won't work.

If I use Silk to navigate to a local radio show (in my case Wales) on the BBC website, and tap to listen to the "Pop Out" Player it will initially say I need Flash, but then the Amazon experimental streamer banner appears and I can listen using that. You may need to enable the Streamer in Silk Settings. Check to see if there's a tick in the box "Prompt for experimental streaming viewer".

If you have Dolphin and Flash installed you can use the Dolphin browser, but again, you need to select the "Pop Out" player.

If you give me the title of the radio show I'll test it for you.

Hi Brian,
I have downloaded al three of them and when we get to the desired show message comes up saying 'unavailable content doesnt seem to be working'
Programme in question is Radio Devon
Geoff Barkers rock n roll show saturday evening..
This works perfectly and instantly on my computer.
Are there some things Kindle does not support?
Kindle shares the same modem as my PC.
Thanks.
John.

On a PC, you can download a free application called "Radio Downloader" It will download programs to MP3, you select them from the radio station and it automatically checks and downloads when new programs become available, you can then play them using your normal music app. I know this isn't exactly what you are trying to do, but it works well with no time limit on replaying the files.

I'm only 5 years younger ;-)

Silk is the Browser installed on the Fire.

If you use the above link, zoom the page a little and to the right of the play again "speaker" icon you'll see "Listen in pop-out player". Tap that.

A new tab will open showing the player and almost immediately show a notice that Flash is required. In a second or so you should see a banner along the bottom inviting you to use the Amazon streamer. (Assuming you have it enabled in Settings for Silk.) Accept and the programme should start to play.
