Suze says:
Morning everybody. I've noticed more and more threads are getting derailed with general chat, and I'm one of the more guilty ones, so I thought I'd start a new thread just for chat, and for somewhere to move to from another thread if necessary.

It's sunk to the second page now but lots have sent her their best wishes :)

I'm keeping a watch on the 20p thread, hoping for some new books today.

Just rain and more rain here in Manchester.

OH gone away for a few days so i'm going to enjoy some me time, doing some baking, then the Kindle will be out :)

Suze says:
I love it when OH goes away for a few days. Lots of time for reading etc. and I get the bed to myself. The first thing I do when he goes is strip the bed and put fresh sheets on. Bliss :-))

ElaineG says:
mine goes away next week for four days and im looking forward to getting the bed to myself and cooking what i want. I will blitz the house the first day he is gone and then just veg out until he comes back. Also, because it is his second trip away with the lads this year, he is taking me on a guilt trip to Malta in November, so its win-win all the way for me :D

A Customer says:
And i don't miss the snoring either Suze, lol

In reply to an earlier post on 4 Oct 2012 08:38:34 BDT
Suze says:
Brian, I've been reading your poems. Are you going to do a book load and publish with kdp. They're very good. You could mix them in with tales from your teens etc.

Suze says:
The snoring isn't bad here and hasn't been since he went on insulin 10 years ago. I don't know why that should be, as I'm sure there's no relationship between insulin and snoring, but I an't complaining about it.

In reply to an earlier post on 4 Oct 2012 08:40:58 BDT
Suze says:
Elaine, don't forget you need to huge gift voucher to keep you going until you go to Malta.

ElaineG says:
Well if snoring was an olympic sport, there would be a gold postbox in my village now - even the neighbours can hear him when he has had a few pints.

In reply to an earlier post on 4 Oct 2012 08:42:49 BDT
Suze says:
Get him some insulin.

ElaineG says:
lol Suze, the gift vouchers are all in hand - its a zero birthday this year, and I am asking for Amazon gift vouchers (but only if i am asked what i want, I hate the idea of telling people what I want them to buy for me)!

In reply to an earlier post on 4 Oct 2012 08:48:21 BDT
Suze says:
I very rarely tell people unless I'm asked and then I'm really poor at saying what I want. I really would rather give than receive. I do prioritise things on my wish list though to make sure I get the things I'd really like rather than the things I would just like.

Damaskcat says:
Nice and sunny here but not that warm. I need to pick up a prescription from the doctors - 10 min walk - and then I shall be making a walnut and banana cake.

Edited to add: I'm a happy bunny today as Social Services have agreed to respite care for my OH and he has decided he quite likes the idea of going away for three or four days a month so it looks like I shall be getting some concentrated me time on a regular basis.

Kelp Bed says:
Oh that's great news. It's so important to get regular respite. I am in a similar position and without it, things would be very difficult.
You will have to think about how you are going to use this new time to yourself. Maybe a holiday, or just chill at home?
Walnut and banana cake. That sounds good. You are tempting me before 11 o'clock....:)
