Anyone returned Kindle due to wonky screen?

I can only assume that the screen on my Kindle has not been assembled 100% perfectly, as it appears to be slightly out of alignment. Consequently, text seems to go across the screen at a slight angle when you hold it straight ahead - instead of going left to right at 90 degrees it's more like 85 degrees. It sounds a minor niggle but it is a bit weird. Anyone sent one back for this issue/problem? Never seen it before on a netbook or phone (but had a camera with a slightly wonky LCD once)...

I think someone did ask for a replacement last September but I haven't seen it mentioned recently. Sometimes when I look at mine it appears it might not be quite straight but I put that down to my wonky eyes rather than the Kindle and it's not noticeable when reading.

When you switch it (via the Aa button) to be 90 or 180 degrees different, is it still wonky?

funny you should say that but ive just noticed my first one is ever so slightly wonky, not enough to bother about for me, but it's there nonetheless.

it's only really noticeable when in the default portrait mode view

Not on mine it doesn't which makes me think it's an optical illusion or may be something that appears in particular books. Certainly nothing I'd consider sending it back for,

Have you checked other books? I've had a couple of books that were wonky....but, majority are justified dead centre.

Mine seems slightly wonky, but when I turn it on its side (but leaving the text in portrait) it all looks straight. Im not sure if its some kind of optical illustion.

Mine is also wonky ... down at the left hand corner .. just enough to be noticable, and I am planning to send it back for a replacement ...

you can see the % meter when reading a book is not straight ... Is this a fault on ALL Kindle 4's ???
Please check yours and post !

Mine sometimes looks as though it's not quite straight on some books but as I have wonky eyes anyway and wouldn't know a straight line if it hit me in the face I tend to ignore it. If it's not straight it's out by less than a millimetre. Mine is a Kindle keyboard by the way and I've had it for 17 months.

If you're talking about the Fire HD I have this problem with one game. What I do to sort it out is to make sure my screen orientation is unlocked, move the Fire around until the screen is the way up that I want it, then lock the screen again and it stays the right way for me to play the game.

I've just sent my new paperwhite back for the same reason. The most noticeable was the left hand margin, which tapered from wide at the top to narrow at the bottom. Once I was aware of it I couldn't put it out my mind:-(
As per usual, Amazon cs were spot on.
