Why is that album not in my cloud?

My daughter just received a kindle fire HD so I downloaded the albums purchased from amazon that were in the cloud as it was mostly her music (with some of mine to brainwash some good taste into her lol) but her favourite album she got for xmas isn't there another album by the same artist purchased on the same day is, does anyone know why this might be?

Are we talking about physical CDs your daughter got, and the autorip feature meaning there will be mp3s in the cloud account not being there?

I am guessing here, but the record label probably has a say in which ones come with the mp3 copies or not, and they probably haven't given permission for that album, but have for the other one (regardless if it is the same artist). This happened with an artist on spotify recently, the artists 2nd album was up but not his first, thankfully after about 6 months the first one was available... Another reason might be that the two albums are by two different record companies... Again this is complete guess work, so I am probably incorrect.
You can of course rip the cd to your computer and transfer files to the kindle HDX via USB.

Alternatively, go to help in the top right, then contact us, you can ask amazon, they will probably be able to let you know and help :)

Does the album that isn't on the cloud have the autorip logo on the picture and under the price like this one?

Thanks Miss Smitten I thought that may be the case, but wanted to check. Thanks for your reply I may contact Amazon to confirm this.

Yes autorip only is on some albums, even same artist, it's a bit random. I was surprised to.

You can look at the Product page - you don't need to ask Customer Services. If Auto-Rip applies it will say so there.
