SuzieJ says:
I had a burglary and one of the items stolen was my Kindle.
I phoned Amazon and my kindle was de-activated followed by me putting a stop to my credit card.
In the meantime I had an email from Amazon stating that they were unable to take a payment on a pre-ordered eBook.

My payment details were amended as soon as I received my new card, but I still find that I cannot download anything from my library onto my new kindle as it has been blocked?
I've email again asking for payment to be taken out ( 99p ) but this could take ages- any ideas how I can pay the amount even though it hasn't been downloaded yet?

Denis Powell says:
At the top of every Amazon web page is a Help button. Click on that and then the Contact Us button. Get Customer Services to telephone you. They have access to your account and can see exactly what the problem is.

Walker says:
You can get them to call you. Use the help and contact us buttons and choose for them to call you. The phone usually rings almost immediately.

My golly yes,

I sat forward in my chair to press the contact button and chose for them to ring me and my phone rang back before I had chance to lean back in arm chair.

Thanks CS.

BeeJayTee says:
Most emails result in a reply asking if they can ring you.
Ask for a call back - they won't take long.

Please advise - I have put in all the information of my new card, but you seem to refer to the old card info. and I am having difficulty with the orders of new books

As per earlier posts
1 - we are just customers
2 - Contact AMAZON via the HELP page and the CONTACT US button.

CBRetriever says:
that is true, I had had a credit card compromised and when i cancelled it, I had a pre-order on it and had to go change the payment for that item

also, if you just change it for your 1-Click settings that does not mean it changes for your Kindle Payment settings (this one tripped me up on amazon.fr)
