So now we have to click on the book to see what it's about and I only find about one a week if that !
Thanks for all the crap you threw at a decent person yesterday !
Think I will, give this forum a miss now as well !
What childish nasty people, there are with egos too big for their boots !
Did it really matter if a book was duplicated? Did it really matter who posted first !
If that's all you have to worry about in life , you really don't have a life in the first place !

Sea of Gold - Nick Elliot - 302 pages
`Whoever did this wanted to make very sure no one lived to tell the tale.'
Money, murder and love on the high seas.
In the world of international shipping, the rules are blurred and the oceans lawless

When instinct tells maritime claims investigator Angus McKinnon that a wave of frauds must be connected, he thinks it's just business as usual. Instead, he uncovers a ruthless conspiracy born of greed and the lust for power.

As he starts to unravel a trail leading from the post-Soviet drabness of a Black Sea port to a sweltering anchorage in the Gulf of Thailand, a devastating explosion in the Indian Ocean changes everything.

Facing down terrifying childhood memories, torn between two very different women and doubting old friends, McKinnon must navigate a precarious path between secretive government agencies, shady syndicates and avaricious crime lords towards an unpredictable endgame.

Gambling everything on his faith in one man, can McKinnon beat the odds and come out on top?

Not many titles, today. Where's Annie? I loved her lists?

In reply to an earlier post on 4 Sep 2014 16:48:39 BDT
What are they about. We used to get a bit of blurb with each title. What's happened?

In reply to an earlier post on 4 Sep 2014 16:49:49 BDT
Why isn't Annie listing any more? Terrible news!

Boo says:
What is included with each free book posting is dependent on the efforts of the individual poster - doing it like I did above requires finding a free book and then the Amazon link to it, then copying and posting each precis underneath. It takes time and effort to do that.

Perhaps you'd like to post a few yourself? The free book listings are down to the good will of individuals taking the time to make them available to others. I don't post many, but it's the least I can do once in a while to repay the enjoyment I get from the efforts of others.

The Breakers Series: Books 1-3
Excellent read
In the Breakers series, humanity faces not one apocalypse, but two: first a lethal pandemic, then a war against those who made the virus. This collection includes the first three books and is over 1000 pages (350,000 words) of post-apocalyptic survival.

Maybe there shouldn't have been so many unnecessary comments about Miss Annie then yesterday !
You stopped someone posting now who took a lot of time and effort and some people with nothing better to do than gripe about duplicate posts and who, posted first ! Thought this was an adult forum not a kids one.
We lost an excellent poster thanks to,some people with their egoistic comments.
Did it really matter on a freebies thread !?

I'm sorry Mrs Williams but I have no idea what you're talking about. I haven't done anything to stop anyone posting. I haven't even looked at the free threads for a week, so I've clearly missed something, but having just finished a free book I picked up on one of them, thought I'd come in today and post a few, as I do periodically. What is it that you think I've done?

I only said there were many comments yesterday that needn't have been posted !
No names were mentioned .
It's getting very childish on here lately.

@ Ms Williams: Because you replied specifically to my own post explaining how a book summary has to be manually copied and pasted. You replied to me and used the phrase "You stopped someone posting . . .". That was why I thought you were addressing me - as according to forum etiquette - you were.

If you look at the top right of each post, there is often (not always with general posts) wording that says something like "In reply to an earlier post" - the 'earlier post' bit is a link and clicking it brings up a pop up with the post it is in reply to - so that people can see what specifically they are commenting on - as I have done here.

If your comment is general to be added to the thread at the bottom, just use the 'Add your own message' window instead of clicking the 'reply to this post' link to open a reply window specific to that particular post.
