If it's the same as I've encountered - touch and hold on 'My Clippings' on home page until a list appears - then choose delete and confirm .

I'm glad I read this thread, because I deleted something called 'clippings' a few days ago and wasn't sure if I'd deleted something I needed. Now I know it's only bookmarks etc, make me feel a little easier! :)

After deletion is there any way to get it back? I was so stupid to delete the my clippings when I had the paperwhite connected via usb (please do not comment on my stupidity, I Do KNOW). I would like to have it though now I know what it is for. I restored the kindle to factory thingy already but didn`t help obviously, as it is not on its memory anymore Help please!

J if you want to clip something just do so and the folder will make itself. I'm always creating them by accident. To do so just touch the page of your book at the top right corner, it will look as though you've turned the corner of the page over if it's worked.

Under the helpful HELP section of the Amazon web page is a copy of every User Guide for every Kindle - these user guides came pre-installed on every Kindle device. You can't lose them, they are PRE-INSTALLED.

It's worth taking a few minutes to read them and thus get the most out of your device. You can search each guide either on your Kindle or on the Amazon web page for hints and tips that you are struggling with. For instance searching for REMOVE BOOKMARKS or REMOVE NOTES will take you directly to:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=help_search_1-1?ie=UTF8&nodeId=201243120&qid=1408278900&sr=1-1

Try it.
