I saw on a post the other day that some customers noticed they were no longer receiving emails with regards to purchases for kindle books. They are not alone. I am having the same issue, even with other orders from Amazon, no purchase receipt or dispatch email. I have contacted Amazon customer services and it would seem that they have changed something (don't know what) their end and these emails have somehow made their way into a spam folder.

So, on checking my spam folder, there they were. I have now told my email account that these are not spam so it should not happen again (unless Amazon change something again). I would suggest if you are missing emails, check the spam and set as not spam for future emails.

Hope this helps someone.

Not the same problem, but I did have a similar thing happen (for a non-ebook purchase) a while ago - no auto-confirm, and no locker-delivery confirmation. Fortunately I could see it had been delivered and get the locker code from my order page. I contacted Amazon and I'm not sure if they identified a specific problem or just "nudged" my account, but either way it was fine on my next purchase and from then on. So if you don't get an email and can't find anything your spam folder, contact Amazon and they should be able to resolve the problem.

One recent change to the Amazon purchase emails occurred 10-11 Sept 2013 when the email Subject was changed from the Amazon order number to the Title of the book

So Subject: Your Order Muffin Recipes in a Jar.
instead of Subject: Your Order (D01-6765432-1234567)

This may well have upset some Spam filters, worse it would depend on the title.

I recall that some posters here have had posts rejected by Amazon's nannyware because of genuine titles.
