I think `Boomerang` is the best thing i`ve read on the Kindle so far .
Alan seems a very humble and appreciative man who rarely pushes his book, its ongoing popularity shows us there are many different ways to achieve some level of success . Long may it continue !

Look at the power of a personal recommendation from somebody that you "know"!

I have looked and bought.

Hope I haven't wasted the price of a large bar of chocolate.

.....I will `gift` you a bar of chocolate if you are disappointed .

( come the day the technology allows... )

I bought Boomerang a while ago but it is stuck behind Alan Sugar in the queue and I can't seem to shift him off my settee.

Oh my. I happen across this lovely thread and at the end I find Bibliofilia demanding a chocolate bar refund already!

Posted on 7 Jan 2011 09:26:27 GMT
Bibilofilia says:
No, no!

I haven't demanded it yet - just keeping my options open, Alan!

So far so good - having read for half an hour on the train into London, am not yet in a claiming-chocolate-mood.

Bibliofilia, I read it last month and if I were you I wouldn't have demanded the chocolate, I thought it was all very clever and funny.

Bibilofilia says:
But I HAVEN'T demanded the chocolate!

Just expressed a hope that the book was worth it. So far it has been. :)

Should have phrased my reply better, what I meant was that if I was you and had finished reading the book I would have been perfectly satisfied and felt no need to demand choc, although your tastes may be different.

Skylark says:
Alan, why don't you give a free bar of chocolate with each book? That would be nice.

I'm downloading a sample chapter now. Mine's a Mars Bar.

Good morning! It is almost 7:00AM here.

I would love to offer some sort of delicious incentive like chocolate, but not sure how well they would travel from Arizona. Also the wife may begin to object to me once again showing a negative cash flow from this writing thing!

Thank you to everyone who has invested the 71p (or 69p or 72p, whatever fickle little Amazon was charging at the time) in Boomerang so far. And Mr. willie wit, thank you very much for this thread.

How are you finding the punctuatio`n Bibi ? ..... as bad as his sense of humour ?

Bibilofilia says:
I'm not quite sure what is punctuation, and what is bits of Cadbury's Flake sprinkled all over the screen.

Punctuation? Ussually it's my speling reeders have isseuss with.

How about this deal for the chocolate. Just send me the UPC label from the back cover of the book and I'll send a Mars bar or Almond Joy, your choice.

There are UPC code and back covers on ebooks, aren't there?

Right, i spent my 71p on Boomerang... just awaiting my free Wispa bar please :)

Posted on 9 Jan 2011 22:21:23 GMT

Thanks for investing your hard earned funds in Boomerang.

And at the risk of revealing myself to be Not From Around These Parts, may I ask, "What is a Wispa bar, please?

I am learning all about new food products at this time as we are hosting an Australian high school student for about a week and a half. She brought us a tube of Vegemite (salty stuff) and a package of Tim-Tams (we call 'em cookies, I guess you would call 'em biscuits?)

Stavy says:
Wispa bars are a rare Cadbury's chocolate that was once discontinued, and then brought back by popular demand.

Alan, I have already read your book, and can thoroughly recommend it to any readers who have not yet committed. Should I complain about the fact it cost me 72p though? where is my 1p refund eh?
