I find the Kindle very hard to hold. The Kindle Keyboard was much easier to manage. The page turners were in the right place. I could hold it single handed. Now,with the Paper White, the side bar/panel is too narrow and operating the page turn all with one hand us quite hard. Has anyone found the perfect way to hold and operate the Kindle a Touch with one hand?

I think a lot depends on which cover you have. Some give you a better grip. I hold mine in a variety of ways depending on where I am but generally with the bottom corner resting in the centre of my Palm.

I should add, it's when I'm lying down in bed😃 it slides off my hand. Reading whilst sitting up is fine. I rest it on my knee.

I have no trouble and I don't use a cover. I hold it with my hand spread across the back with my little finger at the bottom to support it and just page turn with my thumbs. For me this is the easiest one to hold as there are no buttons to catch and send it back to Home when I'm reading.

You can use a short left or right swipe to change page too. You don't need to tap the far left of the screen, so the page turning is almost anywhere on screen. It's something you get used to. Like the different position of buttons on a remote control.

I have the officail Amazon case. I find it comfortable and grippy.

I hold my PW the same way as Denis.

That's what works for me, too.

Like Isabella, that works for me too! Mind you, I find I get marks on the cover from handcream/sweaty hands so am getting a skin to protect it, but still use a cover on it when travelling.

Hi lolly, I find with touch screen devices that I tend to touch the screen with the thumb, when holding in one hand, although I can see that some cases might restrict this.

I use a case when it's in my handbag but otherwise don't bother. I have noticed the back gets finger marks all over it so am thinking of making a case just to slip over the back and around the edges of the front as I don't want a skin. I seem to get the back messier than the screen :-))

It's only messy if you look at it...

I guess this problem also depends on the size of your hands?

I've had same problem but assume I'll get used to it soon
