You are obviously well experienced with kindle fire and its forums. A bit more patience, understanding and better advice would be nicer.

That isn't being inflammatory, I am just stating that if the OP wishes to have her question answered properly it may be that more questions needs to be asked first so that they can be more appropriately advised.

If the OP wishes to abuse other folk then they will not get their question answered. Having said they they will fit in very well; there are loads of other obnoxious users here.

Turn it off then on again.

Can I have the job?

Clagg, LOL, you got the job! Supply your own crystal ball as the users will never tell you what is actually wrong, only what they want you to do to fix it based on their far superior to your IT knowledge.

That is routine maintenance.

Urgent maintenance means you have to take the plug out and plug it back in too.

I phoned PC World with a printer issue, it was only a week old. Their tech guys told me to check this, that and the other, all in relation to "is it turned on?" and "Is there a cable from the printer to the computer?"

Instead of asking me to check any software options the guy told me to reinstall windows! I asked if he meant windows or the printer software and he stated he knew what the issue was and I had to reinstall windows.

The printer went back to the store next day but only got a refund when the pillock who advised me was reminded of the "advice" he offered. The new printer I got from Argos worked fine!

Clagg, we use FBKAC - fault between keyboard and chair!

With regard to comments on restarting, never knock a solution that works 90% of the time!

LOL. I haven't heard FBKAC before.
Couldn't agree more.

Hello

You seem to know computer stuff. Would you mind offering me some sort of tablet answer. I am quite clueless on all this stuff and actually still read write and calculate on paper.

Do you think it would be possible to download Adobe flashplayer. I have tried but keep getting something called Behance.

I am trying to get Filmon although it comes up on my screen I can not get a picture or sound and it asks for a plugin.

It's ok if you don't answer I am not knowledgeable at all on these matters but would appreciate just a yes or no if you have time.

Much obliged to you
From Christine

To Mrs. Christine Smith

The path I suggested to getting Flash player was to first install Dolphin as a second browser. The link I gave was to Amazon.com Kindle discussions and tells you how to do this.

If you can tell us where you get lost we may be able to help further.

For the record, which Kindle Fire model have you ?
