@ eastwood - First Thrills isn't actually written by Lee Childs, he has collected together a group of stories by different authors in one book for your reading pleasure. Just thought you should know before you make your choice.

Just Finished... The Reversal It is the last in the Mickey Haller novels. There is another due out at the start of April so I finished them up just in time. :) Really enjoyed this one but it had a very abrupt ending and can only hope that the next Detective Harry Bosch novel that is due out in November is a continuation of this book.

Just Started... This was a tough decision to be honest. I've just read the three Michael Connelly/Mickey Haller novels and was thinking of doing a light Chick Lit read but I really think I want to start from the beginning and be properly introduced to Detective Bosch.... hhhmmm....

Okay... The Black Echo it is! I'm really enjoying Connelly's way of writing courtroom drama so this will give me a chance to see if I also enjoy his police drama.

I am so glad I started this thread and am happy to see it is still alive and kicking. Can't even count the number of 'Wish List' books I have now added because of all of the great suggestions. Happy reading everybody!!

Christine :)

Just finished The Street by Kay Brelland, really enjoyed it now reading Started Early, Took my Dog by Kate Atkinson enjoying this one as well as set in Leeds which is near me so can picture the locations.

I have found that I am picking more of an assortment of books on the Kindle than I did in paper form as I can try the free sample before I buy and so have a better idea if I will enjoy the book

Just finishing Impeding Justice (A Lorne Simpkins thriller) and thinking about what to start next... Might be In Memory of Greed or might be Oh Great, Now I Can Hear Dead People!

Sukey, I agree, I love the sample feature too, it really lets us get a feel for a book before buying.

I agree, Sukey! I've read a lot of different genres to what I normally read because I'm doing a couple of Indie Books Reading Challenges.

Just Finished... The Black Echo. This was my first proper introduction to Detective Harry Bosch and I really enjoyed it. Will be reading the rest in the large series however my last 4-5 books have been all Michael Connelly and Lawyer / Police drama so am taking a step back for now and will come back to them when the new Mickey Haller books is out next month.

Just Started... One Day. Have been wanting to read this for a little while now and saw a couple of days ago that a movie about it will be out later this year. I always try to read the books first when movies are made as they are always better. :)

Happy reading everybody!

Just finished Birthright. I only finished it because I am a dogged person. I think he had swallowed a thesaurus and sometimes got the wrong word in amongst his plethora of adjectives and adverbs. Just started South Riding but only because I need to read it fior my book club.

Just reading No Easy Road . A brilliant read so far, got about a third of the way through it. It reminds me very much of Belonging which is another brilliant book about difficult childhood and survival.

Despite their subject matter I feel uplifted by the way that both these children have become such great adults.

Just finished The Blood That Bonds - not my usual book, but as it was free gave it a go and was (pleasantly! maybe not the right word) surprised that I liked it, so will be downloading a few more vamp books. Keep thinking of starting the When Darkness Falls: trilogy as got all 3 free, but keep starting other books first, so maybe now is the time - anyone read them yet ? and are they good ?
