Mr J M Craigie - rushed to market? Hardly! Kindle was first released in the US in 2007. My wireless connection is brilliant and I've connected the Kindle to 3 different routers with no problems at all.

I've tried making a collection to tidy up my home page. I've gone to menu selected 'create a new collection', given it a title, saved it, chosen a book to put into it, clicked on the right part of the square button, clicked on 'add to collection', chosen the collection to put it in, added it, got a tick to show it's in, pressed 'done', returned to home - and the book is still on the home page. Please help!

@ Mrs. Jayne Daly
Are you SURE you WANT TO?? You could try removing it from "manage your kindle" under your account, but when it's gone, it's gone!

Hi Mrs Platt, what post was that and how do i get to it? I've been having probs with my kindle and when I asked amazon help they told me to always turn it off when I'd finished reading to save the battery. I rarely have my wifi on, only to download books. So now I'm confused:(

If I order another Kindle to be put on my account, will be able to download books I've already ordered onto the new item via the computer. I don't connect to wi-fi & would prefer not to buy another 3G model as the other one would be for someone else to use.

@Mick Cochrane

You will be able to download the books to your Pc and then trabsfer them via the USB cable to your new device.

There is one catch though: as I understand it, when you get the Kindle you must first connect to Amazon with Wi-Fi to activate it - you only need to do this once.

As well as downloading books you can also install firmware upgrades when they become available using your PC.
