"It's a drag having to search backwards to work out what the current book is called."

If you push the menu button (on the K3) the book title shows at the top of the screen.

Deejay, if you press menu when you are in the book it will show the title at the top of the screen.

I was slow typing. By the time I'd done it and pressed post, Wilbers post had already been done.

On a similar subject - why is it that when I add a completed book to 1 of the collections I have set up on my kindle that I can't get it off my main list (ie books I haven't read yet); I have tried putting a book in 1 of my collections then deleting it from my main list only to find it has also deleted from my collection list!! Can anyone help - my main list is now very, very long and very, very annoying!! LindaB

Damaskcat says:
You need to sort your Home page by collections then you will just have the collections show on it.

Linda B says:
Thank you Damaskcat I will give that a try.

Willber G says:
Just to add, it will also show any books that haven't been added to one or more collections.

***New readers - we are just bumping this thread to keep the faq at the top of the forum. The information you want is in the FIRST TWO posts of this thread.

If you have a new question not answered here you will get a better response posting it in a new thread than on here, but check the first two posts to see if it is already answered. ***

Kindle wi-fi help needed please
I can't find the turn on/turn off wi-fi.. It used to be right at the top when I pressed menu from the home page but it seems to have disappeared and "shop in Kindle store is now at the top where turn on/turn off wi-fi used to be... I bet this is really easy to solve but I am stumped, can anyone help?

In reply to an earlier post on 10 Jul 2012 23:21:08 BDT
My kindle ran an update last week & now has airplane mode (wi-fi off).

Hope it helps :)

There is an arrow to choose where the book gets sent Keith. You just choose where you want it sent :) That may sound confusing, but if you click on any book, you will see what I mean. It's near the 'one-click' button :)

Yes i do see. Thank you for your help.

Hi sorry if this as been asked before but do the ebooks in archive eventually get deleted .The reason I'm asking is I'm new to having a kindle , mine froze then deleted the few books I had in archive is this normal? Thanks Gill

In reply to an earlier post on 2 Aug 2012 16:46:48 BDT
Elaine4Wales says:
I'm not an expert myself Gill, but I do know that Amazon keep a copy of every book you have downloaded, so if your archive is now empty, you can get your books back from the previous kindle orders section of Amazon :
