Damaskcat says:
It's snowing here now - but very fine flakes at the moment. They were slightly wrong with the timing - it's about an hour earlier than expected.

Bookie says:
Are you sure it was Wicker Tree KAN? That only came out in 2010.

There have been a couple of versions of The Wicker Man, with the 1970s version being the best. I remember that was a freebie.

Like a summers day here untill you step outside. Blue sky and light breeze but freezing

Still bitterly cold above folkestone but no snow and not looking likely, clouds too high. Forecast said snow by 10am.
Have just been out briefly with the dog. me with eyes and nose streaming and her rolling over and over in the frozen remains of last snow. She is sixteen and a half now but still loves snow as much as ever

K. A. Newton says:
Films are difficult to grade as people have such different things they like.

Like me, I don't like war films - there has to be something particular about one for me to watch and yet I loved the one about the Russian sharpshooter who became a hero - and to ruin the Russian morale the Germans sent another skilled sharpshooter to kill him. Forgotten the title - Enemy at the Gate or something like that, was it ?

I like some musicals but absolutely hate "The Sound of Music".

Just got The Golden Compass to watch before I start to listen to the three books that form His Dark Materials narrated by the author himself, Philip Pullman. It was Brian who told me about them and I have bought one book a month with my Audible credits £7-99 x 3. instead of over £19. each.

Easier to visualise creatures when reading if you have seen them in a film. Only the first of the books was filmed and released.

We had about 6cm overnight and its been falling light but steady ever since. The local weather forecast is that its going to freeze overnight and then dump a further 30cm on top of that tomorrow afternoon......oh, joy :-(

KAN - I have that version of HDM - absolutely brilliant; far, far better than the BBC radio adaptions.

K. A. Newton says:
Thats what Brian said. Unfortunately I had already bought the cd versions of the BBC dramaterisations but on his say so I decided to buy one book of HDM each month off Audible. Decided not to start listening to them till I had all three.
It's a lot of hours listening for just under £24.

Yep, Anglesey is an area where Druids live long and prosper. There is archaeological evidence of Druid activity on Anglesey going back to the Iron Age. Probably earlier too, but more difficult to prove.

Measured 6-7 inches with a ruler in my back garden here in the North East. We also had thunder and lightening last night and early this morning albeit very brief. Raining now.
