It's worth noting that Audible have a very generous "Returns" policy. Unlike ebooks you can return some Audible books for a refund (1 credit) simply because you don't like them. I recently returned one that I purchased nearly a year ago but could never get beyond chapter two as I disliked it that much. It was by a favourite author but unlike any of his previous books.

My list of my books eligible for return goes back to November of last year but I'm sure if people abuse the right then they'll stop it as it's perfectly possible to listen to every purchase and then return for a refund. I've only ever bought that one book that I've not enjoyed so I'm happy.

That is useful to know, Denis - thank you. I'm sure if it was used too many time by the same person - questions might be asked!

its a good policy as a good book can be ruined by poor reading- i plan to change/refund 2 of the 3 purchased due to the reading- its the way the woman says the man parts- just very silly sounding, so spoiling it for me- same reader on both.

Denis Powell says:
In most books you only get one reader but you can listen to a sample of any book before buying.

If you're going to return 2 out of every 3 you buy then you can expect Audible to remove that option for you. I would recommend you listen to the samples to avoid any future disappointment. There are some readers I don't like so don't buy those books regardless of how good they are.

That's good to know, thanks Denis. I think I'll make a habit of listening to the samples first, as it would definitely grate on my nerves trying to listening to a voice that didn't appeal to me, or make me want to listen to it.

I'm a little bit confused by this being a new member to Audible. I had an e-mail saying there was a sale for 100 Romance titles for just £5.99 each, yet the books showing seem to all be full price. Does the discount get deducted on the payment screen, or is there another list for the £5.99 titles? Sorry if I seem vague! :)

That link should show the sale price in red. When you add a book to your Basket that will show the full price and alongside, the price you actually pay.

Thanks for that Denis, I clicked on a book and it showed me the sale price, should have thought about doing that to begin with! :)

I have the 1 credit per month deal, starting from 19/02/14 and I downloaded an audiobook that day, it says that I currently have no credits and we are now in the month of March, is it because I need to wait exactly 1 month as in till the 19/03/14 for the next credit to be valid?

Sharon4 says:
Probably. My Audible credit comes through on the 10th of the month, not a day before or after and usually not long after the witching hour. If your credit doesn't appear on your account on the 19th, contact Audible customer services. They are extremely helpful and obliging.

Exactly the day you joined so you won't get it until 19 March.
