I have about 600 ... and growing thanks to those kind souls who put the freebies on Amazon. I have decided only to get them from these threads and not to link to the other websites which have great long lists every day in an effort to limit the clicking.

I am now relaxed about this. The freebies build up at a huge rate, much faster than I can read but I alternate them with the odd bought book. One day the supply of free books may dry up and I will need the stock.

On the whole I find that most of the free books are perfectly fine to read and a few are eceptional. The dire ones are deleted for ever. The Ok ones stay in the archive in case of a book drought in the future and the good ones cause me to pay for and download others by the same author. It's all great fun and I usually review them too (unless there are lots of reviews already posted) which opens me to comments from other people who don't like my views.

Reading/clicking/posting/reviewing - this is now a full time occupation. Long may it last.

Jill, some of us have started putting cash in a jar/tin every time we download a freebie :-) This week I have 'saved' £ a world cruise wouldn't be impossible at that rate would it? Happy reading :-) x

My 700ish doesn't seem bad compared to some! I have cut back on freebies now and only download if i already like the author or it is a highly recommended book by someone who has a similar taste

I have 232 to read. I don't feel so guilty now after seeing other numbers. And I am not loading up another sample, or free book till I've read all the ones that I have downloaded.

I am decluttering stuff from my house at the moment, so I must be disciplined.....after putting Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China on my wish list.....

Sigh... What am I like.....

I have about 150 books to be read, all freebies. I just never seem to get round to reading them, I'll read a book that I have paid for, and then will plan to read one of the freebies but I'll end up buying another book instead and read that first.

Doing that means you might lose out on some seriously good books. Don't forget you don't need to keep them all on your kindle and your archive with Amazon seems to be infinite.

I've about 100, all freebies. I only download a paid book if I'm going to read it straight away. Does anyone know how to differentiate between those read and those not in the archive, or if this is even possible?
