If you sideload Flash and ITV player Apk's it runs fine on my Fire HD. Just Google the Apk's and install.

I personally using a iMac downloaded Android file transfer, installed it and then connected my Fire HD to it,I think on Windows PCs that the Kindle Fire HD shows up as a drive automatically.I then drag the Apks I've downloaded into the Download folder on the Kindle. The using ES File Explorer (available free in Amazon App Store) go to the download folder and install both Apks,Then goto to apps and open Itv player.

Itv player - http://www.filecrop.com/74985686/index.html

Flash Apk - http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=4&cad=rja&sqi=2&ved=0CEgQFjAD&url=http%3A%2F%2Fdownload.macromedia.com%2Fpub%2Fflashplayer%2Finstallers%2Farchive%2Fandroid%2F11.1.115.17%2Finstall_flash_player_ics.apk&ei=E6WSUJ6pA_KY1AWo2IAQ&usg=AFQjCNG7r1emPSGdLTvKGM2n_0xWU79xuQ&sig2=5H2VTbDkwERIF-dvw4V1Gg

also you need to Allow installation of applications from unknown sources in Device settings to on.

Hi i sideloaded flash but cant get itv player as i have it installed for smartphone and it wont recognise fire hd. just says itv player installed. When i go to dolphin and search itv player it searches using google and i wondered if this was the problem as it takes me straight to playstore. Please would someone be kind enough to tell me if they have had the same problem and solved it. Many thanks.

you need to side load it and not download it from your kindle. Take Darrens link above on your PC, connected to your kindle and the link I found from Darrens site below worked for me. Download the app to your PC and then copy in your windows browser to your kindle. you'll need an ES manager or something installed so you can then go to the directory on the deveice to install. Worked fine for me, you will need to give itv your postcode and email address, valid one or otherwise.

I am answering myself as I have an answer from film on themselves and they say "We do not have an app for the Kindle Fire. Sorry for the inconvenience." so that's that answered.
I have found an app on google play but am I right in thinking it won't work on the kindle fire hdas google play doesn't "play" with kindle fire hd ?
