M. Douglas says:
The page numbers aren't coming up on my Kindle. The book I'm reading does have them, so that's not the problem. It just says I'm stuck on page 1 of 288, when I've actually read 9% of the book.
Any ideas on how to solve this? I've turned it off and back on again already, and that hasn't worked.
Thanks.

Turning a Kindle Off and then On isn't the same as Restarting it.

Occasionally a book file will become corrupted during download. You may want to try deleting it and re-downloading.

M. Douglas says:
And I won't lose any of my Kindle content if I restart it?

In reply to an earlier post on 12 Apr 2012 10:09:25 BDT
Suze says:
No, you'll only lose content if you do a factory reset which is different to a restart.
You do realise don't you that if you ever have to do a factory reset all the books downloaded from Amazon are quite safe in the archive. You'll only ever permanently lose your books if you delete from the archive itself.

Maria says:
Page numbers are added by publishers, so not all do it yet.
