Of course weight / battery life / storage will be an issue.

It's not backlit.

Why would storage be a problem??

If you look at the following article, towards the bottom of the page you'll see a slide show of what it looks like.

Mr M A Ellis says:
What is with this obsession in getting ereaders to be lit somehow? We've managed perfectly well to ensure there was an adequate light source when reading paper books for hundreds of years!

Mr M A Ellis - just what I was thinking! How ever did people read paper books?

Zathras says:
The one thing that holds Eink screens back and makes people still want back-lit screens is Eink screens are black text on gray - not the best for contrast in low light. If only they could make Eink screens that were black on white then their popularity would soar.
I think having a gray background must be what prevents Amazon et al. releasing Ereaders with colour Eink screens.

Knightmare says:
I have to have a light on when using my laptop as I find the glare from the screen hurts my eyes if the room is dark, so I can imagine feeling the same about a "backlit" e-reader. Think I'll stick with my bedside lamp thanks.

Willber G says:
Times change. I don't see it as an obsession, just an extra function that many people would find useful. I use a lighted cover which means I can read anywhere, but some find the extra weight troublesome.
