K. A. Newton says:
I was taught the Alexander Technique 38 years ago when pregnant first time.

Two years later (36 years ago Thursday night -Yes, my dau was 36 yesterday) I overheard the midwives talking about me saying "Yes, she attended all the relaxation classes you can always tell the ones who have".

I was shocked to find that young mothers-to-be don't get taught it any more.

ps. Since I bought one of those "Surge Protecting" extensions (mine has 4 sockets with one plug at the end of the lead (lap top, printer, router etc.) - I don't worry about lightening any more.

I also have a 6 socket surge protector for TV, VCR, DVD, Top Set Box etc. etc.,

Silver, hopefully one of them will help you. There is nothing worse than pain and I really hope you can find something to ease it.

Berzelius says:
Thanks for 'Out of the Black' That combination of SF and Free is impossible to resist.

And I like the claim that it contains 'Real Page Numbers'. I object to those artificial page numbers containing added chemicals, not to mention genetically modified page numbers. :)

You are welcome Simply Dee.

Surviving the Fog
Have you ever been to summer camp? What would you do if almost all of the adults left "for a few hours" and they had not returned a week later? What would you do if no one's cell phone worked and your parents never showed up to take you home? What would you do if you realized that the area was surrounded by a mysterious brown fog that was dangerous? How would you survive the winter? How would you get more to eat?
This is what Mike, John, Desi and the other campers have to contend with in Surviving the Fog.
Warning: sexual situations, cursing, brief violence
First Impressions (Grace deHaviland)
When you're a bounty hunter, making snap judgments about people will often save your life. But what if those first impressions are wrong? When Grace deHaviland chases a bail jumper to the White Mountains of New Hampshire, a long way from her home turf of Columbus, Ohio, she may discover the answer -- with deadly consequences.

N.b. It is a very short story. Only 31 pages in print.

Good afternoon and thanks all. Hope your neck improves soon Silver Lady.

Spotted a Ken McClure which is free again. I've just finished it, enjoyed it but the ending could have been better. Still kept me clicking though!

Peaceweaver historical fiction, Llewllyn of Wales looks good.

Double Dare
Runaway bride Louisa Honeycut is looking for a quick escape when she passes the Double Dare, Inc sign and the slogan "Are you ready for the time of your life?" seems like divine intervention. Sheltered by her overbearing father, Louisa has years of catching up to do and can think of no better person than gorgeous Sam Rawlins to show her. Is she ready for the time of her life? Hell, yes.
Marriage by Mistake
He woke up to discover two days of his life completely gone.
Workaholic Boston blueblood Dean has made it his life's goal to be the opposite of his irresponsible, womanizing father.
But Dean discovers that while in a hypnotic trance he'd acted exactly like his father, travelling to Las Vegas where he'd wooed and wed some sexy, airhead dancer.
Now, Kelly may be sexy, but she's no airhead. She knows the cold and puritanical man who claims to be her husband is not the man she'd married. But she suspects the warm and tender man she does love is buried somewhere deep inside. And she's determined to find him.
Golden Lies
Every family has secrets -- some too intriguing to resist ... some too dangerous to ignore ...

A novel about three remarkable families -- the fifty-year-old promise that once bound them together, the fiery betrayal that tore them apart, and the ancient bronze dragon that could destroy their future ...

Riley McAllister, Paige Hathaway, and Alyssa Chen come from very different worlds. Tough guy Riley has overcome the hard knocks of a working-class upbringing. Paige struggles to define her place as the heir to a famous antiques emporium. And Alyssa feels trapped by the restrictions of her family's old world attitudes. Now this unlikely trio of strangers must come together to follow an elusive trail through the streets of San Francisco -- from glittering Pacific Heights to colorful Chinatown to trendy south of Market. Each will have to make the impossible choice between romantic love and family loyalty, between sheltering lies and revealing truth. Once the door to the past is opened, there's no turning back ...

That looks interesting Sharon - I am an Alexander Technique teacher (also well-worth checking out Silverlady) and just started to watch the video when thunder rolled across the skies which means switching everything off. I shall return to it since it seems based on similar ideas to AT, about the importance of the atlanto-occipital joint right at the top of the spine.....
