You should be getting more than 15 hours reading out of it.
I never let the battery get to the last bit as I charge it whenever it is convenient.
A battery % indicator is going to tell you what though? Given that it is only a very rough estimate anyway, what would, say 10 % tell you that a little bit left in the bar wouldn't in view of the long battery life?

You don't have to fully charge it each time you charge. Plug it in for 30mins or so whenever you're not using it.

I read a lot so I don't get 28 days. I agree a % would be useful! and I find that the last 'little bit' on the battery display seems to go down faster than the equivalent amount earlier on. I probably use my paperwhite 5 hours a day, so charge it about every third day, and that seems fine, mostly.

No. It's not available.
28 days usage of battery life. Who cares if there's 47% left. Plug it in to charge whenever it's convenient.

I have up graded to the Paperwhite this Christmas. Could anyone please tell me if I can change or add the percentage to the battery indicator? It would make it much easier to know how much life was left. Thanks.
