The Pergamum Collection publishes books history has long forgotten. We transcribe books by hand that are now hard to find and out of print. A History of Persia Volume 1, is the first of a two volume set, and covers the history of Persia from the dawn of history until the 7th century A.D. This version includes the original illustrations.

I have to admit that's one of the reasons I posted it last time it was free as well, but I do love Shakespeare! :D

The French Revolution and Napoleon
A great short history of the late 18th and early 19th century France by noted historian Charles Hazen. A table of contents is included.

European Campaigns of World War II
A powerful and graphic description of the perils of World War II's many battles across Europe. It takes readers through statistics of individual battles, the major powers on each side and their assets on land air and the sea; and how each battle changed the geopolitical stance within Europe and how it led to the eventual defeat of the Axis powers by the Allies.

Morgan's Rise
Given the chance to escape the consequences of an unfortunate involvement in a churchyard felony, Evan Morgan is sent by his employer to deliver two mysterious packages, one to a locomotive engineer in Gloucestershire, the other to a celebrated geologist at Oxford. Along the journey he meets the extraordinary men who will help him become, in the course of time, a man of property, wealth and substance.

Amabilis de Sainte Croix (Canadian Character Series Book 2)
Amabilis Bedard lived from 1902 to 1981. In her time she saw the transformation of Quebec agrarian society and the rise and fall of Duplessis. She lived through the Spanish flu and bore twelve children in a deeply Catholic marriage in a stifling Catholic society which dictated when you ate or drank, how you were born, raised, married, and buried. More people poisoned than on the Borgias, gunshot wounds, Spanish Flu, fire, Juliette, five sisters who produced sixty (60!) children, it's all here!

Bred to Survive
A story of five generations of horse breeders in the Dales of rural Yorkshire. Starting in Victorian England the Brakewell Shire Herd survived the turmoil of two world wars, the industrial age and the mechanisation of farming which threatened the future of working horses. The story brings us up to date with a different kind of horse breeding and into the 21st century. Seen through the eyes of an aged grey mare, a modern riding horse who finds herself torn from the home where she was foaled by tragic circumstances and passed through different hands where she met all sorts of characters. She imparts her stories to three weanling foals which she finds in her care as they spent the snow clad days at the stud in the dry comfort of the open barn.
