Can somebody tell me how to delete all my books off the Kindle please. Do I really have to delete them one at a time?

Over time I've downloaded loads of books and they are in such a muddle, I need to clear them all then sort them properly before downloading them again to my device.

TIA

Reset to factory defaults (its in the menu system and settings somewhere).
Only down load the books you want to read soon - the rest can stay in the cloud until later.

Thank you! I'd got to the stage of not being able to remember which book I was reading and because I hadn't catalogued them I couldn't find it again :(

I just put a Kindle Fire through factory reset because I had forgotten the password.

You'll have to re-register the Kindle as that goes as well. All your books will still be in archive so you'll be able to download them one by one. I was advised to download a few at a time to give the Kindle chance to index a small number at a time. It helps.

It's not difficult.

If your device is a e-reader you could set some collections up before you start to populate your Kindle with ebooks again. That way you could put them in collections as you go instead of having a lot of books to categorise into the collections at one go.

I don't think Kindle Fires have collections - not without a special app. I don't keep a lot of e-books on my Kindle Fires.

You should Reset to Factory Defaults. If you'd said which model of Kindle you have I could have given you detailed instructions. You'll find it in Settings.
