Hope you have a good day. I'm off to work but hoping to have a sneaky read on my breaks. What are you all up to?

Ignoring the housework this morning (if you don't look at it, it doesn't exist!) while I read, going to work this afternoon & evening .
Don't watch too much TV, but I think that there is a documentry tonight on the Falklands, which has Simon Weston - he's well regarded in our house. Brave, selfless in enabling others, and he responded helpfully to my daughter when she was about 14 and collecting information for a school project - a good man.

:( nothing more can be said, but will think about you today, keep your chin up and remember the happy times you had with him.

Edit, Its not a downer Humph, its life and sometimes it helps to talk about it.

Humph - know how you feel. We had our 16 year old cat put to sleep last month - still miss her but it does get easier with time. Will be thinking of you.

Murph has been loved, that's the important thing. Regarding housework, I just leave my glasses off...

I agree with the housework bit. I believe in Questin Crisp - "after the first four years is doesn't get any worse".

I can't say I've left it that long but I've always had a sneaking suspicion he was probably right!

I love a clean smelling house. I have to do my housework each day, and then the extra bits each month, like pulling things out. I'm quite house proud and I wear my glasses to read, once they are on I can't sit still if I see too much dust!

Maria says:
I am the opposite- short sighted, so with my glasses off I don't see anything clearly enough unless it's close, so it is a good excuse for keeping my nose buried in my Kindle!

Ok - three blokes walk into a bar.
You think one of them would have noticed it.

Spring? It's cold, dreary and damp here! Maybe better wherever you are. Still, perhaps we will have a lovely summer.

BeeJayTee says:
Gorilla walks into bar and orders a pint.
The stunned barman serves him and says "6 please".
The gorilla sups away.
The barman gingerly says "I don't get many gorillas in here"
Gorilla says "At 6 a pint are you bloody surprised?"
