Have sent my Ipod to Ipod Doctor in Scarborough two months ago and can get no response. Anyone else had any problems?

Yes, I have the same problem. They have had my itouch for 3 weeks already and have not responded to any of my e-mails. Do not use these people! This is clearly a scam

Never got my ipod back. Can't believe HSBC allows this person to use their secure payment system or that Amazon allows him on their site. Thought about driving to Alexander Drive in Scarborough and knocking on his door and to ask for my ipod back. Don't suppose the Police would be interested.

Hi, We definitely need to take some form of action as it is not acceptable to see this. It seems that this guy has been doing this for at least 2 year! This is hard to believe.

I have the same issue.....sent an ipod a couple of months ago and haven't received the item back or any response from the company. Has anyone spoken to trading standards about them?

Thanks for the info. Have you started any proceedings against the company?

In reply to an earlier post on 17 Dec 2012 13:04:23 GMT
Had one of the very early ipods so I sort of wrote it off. Had an email from Dean Wightman back in June saying he was still testing it. When I realised that I wasn't going to get it back my Bank kindly investigated and refunded my debit card.

Mine was a fairly new ipod, I paid for it on a CC so should be able to reclaim the cost of the repair from them. I might have a chat with Trading Standards or CAB about this as I have lost an IPOD and would like to either get it back or be paid to get a new one [I doubt either would happen]. People need to be warned about this company.

I have managed to speak to Mr Wightman tonight on his home number, says he is going to investigate and call me back tomorrow.....I am not very optimistic....

Hi, I checked with the post office and it seems that the parcel was never delivered. ie it was probably stolen before it reached them. It still does not explain why they fail to respond to any communication. I will make a claim through the post office.
I still want my 80pounds back for services that I never received!

I sent mine recorded delivery next day but cannot find the receipt....might go and try my local branch to see if they can find the tracking number. He did explain tonight that they are receiving a lot of spam emails [I thought this was a handy excuse to not respond]. I will update tomorrow if I have received a call back and what was said.......

Bit surprised that I got a call today to advise that they have fixed the ipod and it is being shipped back yo me. Its due to arrive tomorrow.

Well done! Nothing like a phone call to get things moving.

Posted on 18 Dec 2012 20:53:54 GMT
Even been sent a post office tracking number....should be delivered by 1PM tomorrow...

Thanks. Dean called me this morning. He finally received the ipod and will be working on them today. It seems that everything will end up well for us. Thanks for your help and merry christmas.

That's great news, merry Christmas to you also - does that mean that they received the iPod and it wasn't stolen. It sounded to me that he may have had a rogue employee that was causing problems....

Hi, the itouch have arrived safely today. All good.

They arrived but he never changed the battery! Still cost me 80£ for nothing. Any of you considering using ipod doctor, I suggest you look for an alternative!

When you speak to Dean Wightman he seems quite keen to put things right and one get's the impression that they are in a mess and disorganized. He says my Ipod is fixed and they emailed me several times (but hadn't or if they did it was to someone else!) As my money was refunded by the bank he now says I have to pay him after the Xmas hols and he will send the Ipod back but after what you have just said perhaps I shouldn't. I am assuming Mr N Watson's Ipod was repaired satisfactorily?

In reply to an earlier post on 28 Dec 2012 16:14:18 GMT
I got the impression it was disorganised. He told me that he had an issue with one of his engineers. My ipod is back and is working where it wasn't working at all before therefore it has been repaired satisfactorily. It looks like I'm the only one who has got out of this ok.
