Any fans on here of this underated early 80s slasher?, that was an alleged influence on Craven's Scream and stars Jennifer jason leigh who puts in an excellent performance as the female reporter's blind younger sister.

I wish some company like Arrow for instance would pick it up and release it on region 2 with some decent extras aswell :)

I've got to confess this is one I've wanted for years but never bothered to buy, I think the US have an uncut special edition from a few years back right? That would presumably be the version to go for for now I guess.

Stuart M B says:
Apparently it is also uncut in the Twisted Terrors box set (R1) according to Melon Farmers but that probably depends whether you want the other three films in the box set.

Well spotted Stuart and although I have "Somebody's Watching Me" (awesome Carpenter horror thriller, well worth watching and probably his most under-rated film!) the boxset would be best as its cheaper than the single film, thanks for getting me two free films and saving me a few quid!

Great effects by the master of b movie effects Tom savini. Like the twitching hand and the head in the fish tank :)

Sounding better and better by the minute! Anyone else wonder why Savini isn't in demand anymore? Surely in an age where so many horror fans are nostalgic for practical effects he'd get quite a lot of offers.

Good question mate. I've not heard anything about him for some time. Best check IMDB :)

Doing a fair bit of acting these days, mate. Machete kills, Django unchained and perks of being a wallflower etc etc.

His hero is Lon chaney. I am not surprised :)

Lon Chaney... makes sense, pity he doesn't go back to special effects though, it was his thing and he was really good at it, guess no-one wants to take the extra time to pull off a real effect anymore with CGI cheaper and faster but it'll never look nearly as good.
