Does Bad Taste really count as a proper zombie movie? Aren't the monsters aliens?

Never saw The Horde or the Dawn Of The Dead remake. Was never interested in the Dawn Of The Dead remake. Seriously, running zombies?!

Scarlet Lady says:
can anyone tell me what the name of the film is where a housing estate in built on top of a cemetary and all the bodies turn into zombies and terrorise the Neighbourhood? (Guess it would have been an 80's? film)

A. Hicks says:
There are a few it could be

'Children of the living dead' - main actor is digging in an old graveyard and disturbs the dead.

'Return of the Living Dead' - stupid interns reanitmate a body - chop it up - cremate it - ashes fall on cemetary (1984)

'Return Of The Living Dead' - nerve gas in a barrel falls off military truck into a cemetary - leaks - zombies - severed hand running around on a back seat of a car - severed legs and torso trying to find each other in a hospital (1987)

'Night Of the Living Dead' - a crashed satellite's radiation causes the bead to rise (1968)

Thanks have had a peek on there - some of the film names are well funny. I think this film had a town name or something in it?

G. Heywood says:
Return of the Living Dead was great for me. Great mix of 80's horror, music, and comedy

Lucifer Box says:
1. George Romero's Day Of The Dead.
2. George Romero's Dawn Of The Dead.
3. Braindead.
4. Re-Animator.
5. Plague Of The Zombies.
6. Zombieland.
7. Planet Terror.
8. Return Of The Living Dead.
9. Dead Snow.
10. City Of The Living Dead.

Although not an out and out zombie film, 1972's Tales From The Crypt has one of the best zombies ever...and it's played by the late, great Peter Cushing.
