The Historical Novel Society reviews historical fiction that is self published- we welcome your submission!

(HNS also reviews mainstream HF of course, but I am the UK Editor for HF Indie Writers.) I am particularly wanting HF published in the UK in book format (not e-format - e-books are reviewed in the US)

My publisher sent a copy of my gothic novel But a Walking Shadow to the Historical Novel Society in the Uk for review - I haven't seen it revieiwed on your website yet and it was several months ago.

It is a dark, gothic tale of disillusionment, tragedy, loss, rape, lunacy, child abuse, and frustrated love set in Victorian England

Stormbringer (Apocalypse Then) If you do get to e-books then I'd welcome a review of Stormbringer. The Second World War described from the outset in a uniquely British voice and featuring storylines you won't believe are true but they are.

Quest For The True Cross (The Templar Series)

If you Google "The Anti-Breivik Templar" - you'll see my book is covered on the newswires this morning - I'm pointing out that my Templar adventure paints a wholly different picture of this order of monastic warriors to the distortions of the political far right. PLEASE NOTE: we do not review every book, we have a strict criteria for quality of production of the book and writing etc - if your book is printed incorrectly (i.e. double-spaced or left justified) it will be rejected. The standard of writing also has to be good - too many typos, poor grammar, punctuation will mean no review. Our aim is to prove that Indie books can be just as good a read as mainstream published.

Charles Dickens and Superintendent Jones Investigate: The Murder of Patience Brooke I would love someone to review my book featuring Charles Dickens who investigates a murder at his Home for Fallen Women. He works with Superintendent Jones of Bow Street to track down the murderer. Their quest takes them to Lincoln's Inn, into the filthy alleys of Seven Dials, and the fine houses of Portman Square. Dickens makes a very good detective, analysing motive and constructing the narrative of a murder.
