2 for 1 is on - I picked up both Toy Stories for £16.

All the BR's have gone up though. I think I saw Cars back up to £17 in the 2-for-1 offer with the "new and used" price below at £7.50 or something.

It does make you smile....

Alfie says:
Right,

Just got off the phone with Amazon - the items were being dispatched so I couldn't cancel but they say they will refund me the £4.99 difference.

I wonder if everyone that suffered this will get the same refund? doubt it if they don't call and complain...

Has anyone already bought toy story 1 or2 on blu ray from amazon and had them delivered ? Sad as it may seem to some i was wondering if they come with a sleeve as well as the standard casing like they do if you get them instore at asda or hmv. Thanks

In reply to an earlier post on 22 Mar 2010 17:52:05 GMT
And right now, it's impossible to order Toy Story 1... When you are about to pay, it changes the quantity to 0. What's happening ? Sold out ?

Just could not resist Toy Story and Toy Story 2 for £12, thank you very much Amazon. How do they do it, ehh? Disney Blu rays are generally brilliant!!
So now I've got Monster's Inc., The Nightmare Before Christmas, Toy Story, Toy Story 2 and now just waiting for Finding Nemo, The Lion King and The Incredibles!!! As an early Twentysomething these films were a big part of my childhood!!!

In reply to an earlier post on 22 Mar 2010 19:37:50 GMT
purchased from hmv and both came in outer cardboard sleeve so presumably same with amazon.

Both Toy Story movies on Blu-Ray show stock, however when you want to order and pay them you get an error message....?

Bargain of the year to me, Bought Dumbo and Snow White, and a few others lol.

Ordered the two Toy Stories and there seems to be no problem. As for anyone complaining about the price, well, at some point they change from the higher to the lower price (or vice versa). If you get caught, it's kind of tough luck - although Amazon seem ready to refund if it's a close call, and I have to say I've always had great service from them. They're not ever going to be perfect, though.

OscarV says:
I think it's still available for UK residents (as they get it from a preffered merchant) because I am not the only one outside the UK who is unable to buy the Toy Story blu-rays.

D. Harvey says:
Yeah i understand what you're saying but this promotion had been advertised for a week to start this morning. So to completely slash the prices by around 1/3 a couple of hours in to the promo is a bit unfair on those who bought early.

Looks like an error with the website to be fair as Dumbo was £12 this morning but for some reason the rest £17-£20.

With this sort of thing we have to employ the phrase, 'You win some you lose some.'

It's an incredible credit to Amazon that they refunded Alfie the £4.99. What a fantastic standard of customer service.

In reply to an earlier post on 22 Mar 2010 22:09:06 GMT
Yes OscarV, I had an answer from amazon, it's only available for people living in the UK currently since it's sold by a merchant in Jersey.

Indigostarfish is the merchants name, and it's a shame you guys from Europe couldn't get this deal.
Other websites are doing this deal, they are slightly more expensive but worth investigating if you live outside the UK.

B. Egan says:
I live in Ireland. It doesn't make sense that the Jersey merchant won't ship Toy Story 1/2 outside the UK. The same merchant ships WALL-E and Snow White and I can order those two with no problems. Not only that but the page explaining all about the merchant says they ship to Ireland. So why not ship Toy Story 1 and 2? These are presents for someone and I don't really want to get another two blurays that they don't want, very disappointing.

M. Bull says:
Maybe you could contact them here and ask why they have such strict shipping restrictions, considering they are essentially shipping to mainland England, it makes no sense to ignore ireland.

This is the merchants website, you may have some luck.

B. Egan says:
The weird thing is I've added four blurays to my cart, Toy Story 2, WALL-E, Snow White and Dumbo. WALL-E and Snow White also ship from indigostarfish and there's no problem ordering them, it just happens with Toy Story 2. I also tried with Toy Story 1 and get the same error. I've previously ordered and received CDs/DVDs from indigostarfish with no problems. Either way I've sent an email to Amazon, don't want to miss out on these blurays while they're £12.
