Why do Amazon include reviews from different formats and releases? Surely it wouldn't be too difficult to only list the reviews relevant to the actual format and release being viewed? Just look at the recent Paramount 100th anniversery blu ray releases. The majority of the reviews are for previous blu ray and dvd versions and are therefore irrelevant and misleading.

This is what's holding me back from buying a lot of the blu-ray updates of classic films, such as Jurassic Park and Aliens. The reviews state that they are blocky to look at because a lot of the space is taken up with alternative languages or other features. When you look at the top of the review, it sometimes says that the review relates to the 4 DVD boxset or something other that what I'm looking at, however, some of the other reviews also say that they are blocky but doesn't specify which version is being reviewed at all.

Am I to assume that the ones that don't specify are actually the HD versions and just not bother updating my collection??? I just don't know.

Cheers Amazon xx

You're much better off reading 'pro' reviews than Amazon customer reviews. The majority of customers don't even appear to understand the things they review, as evidenced by all of the one star 'reviews' for products not yet released simply because Amazon hasn't listed the subtitles (or some equally idiotic reason).
