bridb20 says:
Let's List our top 5 movies that we would like to own on BluRay, you can include a trilogy (set) or just a single movie. Maybe the Studios might see these and as Amazon is hugely influential, this might push a few out too.

This was quite hard to choose but mine have to be:-

1.Star Wars Ep1-6 - Oh Yes, all polished up please with seamless branching for the different versions and all the DVD archives.
2. Lord of the Rings Trilogy - This of course is going to be awesome on BluRay, but please just give us one almighty set not normal&extended a few months later.
3. Indiana Jones1-4, can't see Indi5 so let's have Indi up to date and nicely remastered with oodles of extra stuff thrown in.
4. Shawshank Redemption - Goes without saying, all the extras from the 4 disc DVD set would be cool.
5. Cast Away - out in the US but region locked unfortunately, please give us this great movie. The colours on the Island must be awesome on BluRay and indeed both sound and picture get a 5 star review on HighDefDigest, but the Extras are rubbish for the US version,so let's have a 2 disc set for the UK, port the US transfer and stick lall the goodies from the 2discDVD on disc 2 please.
That's my most wanted, what's yours?

The Godfather Trilogy is out in September so I've not put that down & James Bond titles are almost a certainty too so don'tlist a box set for them. Such as Terminators you can get them too albiet not in a set for the UK, so I haven't included that either even though I'd like and am waiting for a box set. One's that nearly made my list that I couldn't quite fit into that have to be The Matrix Trilogy, Gladiator, Amelie, Taxi Driver and Deliverance. so they might be my 6-10 but were just doing top5, so make a list of 10 then narrow that down.
PS I would love BBC's BluePlanet on BluRay but that's not a movie so I haven't included it, can you imagine that title in HighDef, it's awesome in SD so a BluRay would be unbelievable, don't know how they filmed it though and if it could be done for BluRay. Anyway Vote for your top5 most wanted BluRay movies please that are not announced for relese and not available region free on import, strictly UK regionB requests.

This list is for movies that are not available for UK players, either not out yet, not announced for release, or not playable (locked) imports for region B players. Purely UK requests then. So Which are yours?

2011 EDIT: Okay, my list is now appears to be well out of date, with 3 of my list either on their way or already out (I managed to get the Shawshank USA Digibook), here's an update:-

1. Indian Jones 1-4 (as above)
2. Paris, Texas (please can we have this in the UK, the lucky Americans have a locked criterion release, crappy cover mind. Can we have the original artwork with the same top transfer & Extras?)
3. Cast Away (Still Waiting on this one,as above;it's a USA locked one, hope it makes it to the UK soon)
4. Saw 1-7 Box set (Let's have this one in a nice Box set, fully uncut Extreme editions including Saw 2)
5. The Great Escape (Don't mess this one up, it deserves the highest quality transfer & remaster)

Crank (out on HD-DVD in germany but more than it would be on Blu-Ray but its out in the US on Blu-Ray)

James Bond Collection (love Casino royale on Blu Ray!)

Indiana Jones 1-4

Blade 1-3

Jurrassic Park 1-3

BTW P.White; I have Serenity on HD DVD, and...........Wow, there is no better way to show off your HDTV, its beyond stunning, its gonna be great on Blu-Ray

and TBH, I also have the Matrix Trilogy on HD DVD, its pretty good but there is some noticeable noise in the darker parts of the original Matrix, but its a great set, Hopefully Blu ray will get both sets, The Complete Trilogy and the Ultimate Trilogy

S. Payne says:
1) The Fifth Element
Must look bloody gorgeous in highdef! Available in the US.
2) Amélie
Ditto. Preferably with interchangeable/switch-offable subtitles, so if I want to watch it in French with French subtitles I can - it's the only way to get better at French! *Use* the technology that's available, only requires a little thought on the packaging. Oh and all the extras you get on the French release....with interchangeable subtitles of course!
3) French Kiss
Hey the chicks are early adopters too, give us something to watch!
4) The Matrix
As commented already, episode 1 only, don't give a toss about the others. Oh, if you insist make it a trilogy, but don't charge me more than I'd pay for just the first one 'cos let's face it, that's all we're buying it for!
5) Charlie's Angels 1 and 2
You go kick some arse girls!

I was going to say Blade Runner , bloody gorgeous - preferably with all the different versions etc. but I see it's already out!

Others that may fall in and out of the top 5 depending on mood: Moliére (more bloody gorgeous cinematography - natch the same stuff re the subtitles); Tank Girl (more bright colours that must look awesome in highdef); Taxi (why not have the complete box set? All of Luc Besson's and the American remake which is rather fun); Mr & Mrs Smith (let's blow stuff up in high-def and watch some eye-candy at the same time, something for everyone); Cutthroat Island (romp, romp, romp); O Brother Where Art Thou? (a Cohen box-set?); The Mask of Zorro / The Legend of Zorro (Might as well make it a box set! Warm colours, and decent eye-candy. Pity about the second film, but still a good romp!); The Big Country (hum that tune and get lost in all that expanse of the West); The Mummy 1 2 & 3 (why not release all three in high-def when they get round to releasing 3 on disc? Hell, throw in Scorpion King as an extra - you know we wouldn't buy it otherwise!); George of the Jungle (the man worked hard on his 6-pack, let's see it on the 46 inch screen without artefacts shall we? Of course I'll babysit the kids, no problem, we can just watch a Disney film...)

Oooh...how to narrow it down to five...

1) The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
2) Cashern - The dvd is already stunning, one of the most visually arresting films ever made.
3) Star Wars Episodes 4-6
4) The Godfather Trilogy
5) Saving Private Ryan / Band of Brothers

Oh and for the love of god please can they release both the complete series of the Sopranos and the complete series of the Wire on Blu Ray...

Im seeing a lot of hate towards the other two matrix films.....you should see the Highway scene in HD and the nightclub lobby scene in HD, its worth buying the boxset, even if you are only going to watch those two scenes
