Hi all
I want to practise on a Yamaha digital piano without disturbing anybody. Any headphone recommendations would be welcome.
Thanks in advance

We use these: Sennheiser HD201 Closed Dynamic Stereo headphones

...though we only paid £11.12 for them on Amazon, so may be worth monitoring prices on Amazon for a while if you're in no hurry. There not cutting edge HiFi but perefecly adequate for the piano, and don't leak sound too much.

Yep I've some of those HD201 for a coupl of years now and they are perfectly ok. Cable is a bit wimpy as its about as light as they could get away with - but it seems to wear well. If you want something better quality these are great studio monitor phones that are more rugged. Audio-Technica ATH M 35 Headphones,Wired

I have tested a number headphones with my Yamaha Tyros 2.It boils down to the Audio Technica ATH M50 (£130) which brought out a great amount of detail be it in the music or the vocals. If you have a Lower budget I would go for the Shure SRH440 (£70).
If you are ever in NY, head over to B&H in Manhattan where you can try out all the headphones from $20-$1,500 . They are all playing identical music which allows you to make an educated decision.
