I recently ordered an xmas present for my father in law, and paid £84.99, the next day it went down to £79.99 and 3 days later it went up to £99.98. I don't think this should be allowed, not in such a short space of time. Perhaps they just do it at xmas, to catch people out. I suggest that you price check the item you want to buy on all sites before buying from Amazon

I agree that the prices do change a lot, much more than high street retailers.

last week i was going to order Fifa 10 (Xbox 360) which was at the time at £22.99, which i was willing to pay, however i didn't have the time at that particular moment so came back to it a few hours later in which the price had increased to £29.99, it stayed at this price for a while before rising again to something like £35 i believe which i thought was rediculous...

suddenly it went down to £19.99 and i finally placed by order today (23rd December) and literally 10 minutes later it went back up to £22.99 for people who hadn't already placed their order.

You just have to wait sometimes as amazon change their prices sometimes, however i didn't need mine for Christmas so i had the option, whereas it looks like you had no choice when to place your order to receive it in time for Christmas.
