Justine says:
Hi looking for fiction about sexual obsession or obsessive love addiction. Not harlequin.
Thank you.

Hi Justine, you could try The Collector by John Fowles. A well written book that explores the main characters obsession with a girl who he is besotted with. Will not say any more so as not to ruin the story.

You could also try Looking for Mr Goodbar, unfortunately not available on kindle at the moment, but a clever and frighting take on one woman's decent into sexual obsession and the consequences.

Obsessive love? Aside from the great suggestions by the first two posters, Wuthering Heights springs to mind...

Death in Venice, Thomas Mann. And, much less literary and much more straightforward, Michael, Michael, by Wendy Perriam or Perriman.

NICSON says:
for sexual addiction i would go for a Chuck Palahniuk called 'Choke'. If you want something a little more grand, concerning more the obsession and necessity to be loved then Somerset Maugham's 'Of Human Bondage' is certainly worth putting the time in.

Q. Crisp says:
I'd second the mention made here of Jeanette, by Joe Simpson Walker, which looks set to be stand-out title in erotic/obsessive fiction. Also, pretty much anything written by Tanizaki fits this description (Naomi, Quicksand, The Key, Diary of a Mad Old Man, etc.) Someone recently gave me a volume by Pierre Klossowski. I haven't read it yet, but it looks interesting: Roberte Ce Soir and The Revocation of the Edict of Nantes (two novels in one volume). From the back cover: "These two novels must certainly comprise, in one volume, one of the most fascinating, obsessive, and erotic works of contemporary fiction."

A guy who I write a blog with wrote a book about a man who is obsessed with a dead Korean model so much that time sort of breaks down, she comes back to life and they live together making dolls.
It's easy to read but hard to forget: very different from most stuff you'll come across. It's called Charcoal... I'll put a link in here.
