Novels about presidents & first families (or non-USA equivalents)

I'm in the mood for reading books about (fictional) presidents or their relatives. Novels about other presidents/prime ministers/etc and their families are also welcome, American ones are just the most common in my experience!

What I absolutely do NOT want is books where they're corrupt or otherwise massively dislikeable. I hate dirty politics and I'm not a big fan of reading about it.

Any type of book is fine - mystery, romance, thriller, children's novel, etc etc.

Books I already know about are:

Some of the Jack Ryan books by Tom Clancy (thrillers, great)

The President's Daughter series by Ellen Emerson White (teen and excellent especially the more grown-up final two books)

The First Daughter Mystery books by Susan Ford and Laura Hayden (fairly enjoyable, benefit of being written by a real first daughter)

Triggers by Robert J Sawyer (sci-fi, not yet read)

All-American Girl books by Meg Cabot (kids books, pretty good)

American Wife by Curtis Sittenfeld (about a first lady BEFORE she becomes one, pretty good)

A few books by Richard North Patterson (I quite enjoyed the two I've read but haven't yet had a massive urge to read the others)

The Candidate by Tracey Richardson (not yet read, looks to be a lesbian romance)

First Daughter books by Mitali Perkins (not yet read, kids books)

Does anybody have any suggestions for others I should check out, please?

Not sure if this is what you mean but "The First Family" by David Baldacci was very good; it was a while ago that I read it though so I don't think that the family was corrupt.....! Check it out on fantasticfiction.com or here on Amazon

Blimey, it looks as though you've more or less covered them all. I'll have a think, as there's a thriller which came up on my recommendations which I can't remember name of or author (LOL) that might suit. I've just got to hunt it down.

Here's one I've read which I forgot was about presidents etc. Sweet Hush by Deborah Smith. It's a romance/family saga and enjoyable. "Her Harvard student son has just eloped with the First daughter; CNN are setting up cameras next to her apple orchards; the irate First parents are threatening to have her taxes audited; the Secret Service are camped in her house; the ultra obsessively controlling First lady is snooping into her background and life, which is disastarous for Hush as there are things she doesn't want her son to know about his father.... Suddenly her life, past and present, is in the spotlight"

'Primary Colours' by Anonymous/ Joe Klien is very good - about the campaign trail.
'O' by Anonymous is not brilliantly written but an intersting version of the near future of American politics

Fay Weldon's 'The Presidents Child' is quite old now but might fit the bill involving the illegitimate child of an American politician who rises up the ranks.
