Have you purchsed a book online only to discover that you have read it when it was published with a different title. Surely this should be mentioned on the front of the book and by the bookseller.

I Readalot says:
You will probably find that one is a UK edition and the other a US edition as books are often published with different titles on either side of the pond. As I know only too well a UK bookseller will probably be unaware of the US title, the number of books being published each year makes it impossible to know about every incident of this and we would only know if we happened to look up a particular book. If a UK publisher changes the title, which occasionally happens then it is noted on the book that it was previously published under a different title, now and again one slips through but in 10 years as a bookseller I have only personally found 2 incidents.

Yes, my book was published as Kip Fenn - Reflections, some ten years ago, and failed to sell. So I re-edited it into a trilogy, jazzed up the covers and blurb, and republished it. Now it's called 'Not a Brave New World' - a trilogy in three wives. Although not mentioned on the cover, I have referred to the original publication inside on the copyright page.
