Hi GD. Nice to hear from you and good to see you are doing well. Good luck with the surgery. He is brave and you are a great dad to see to him with such devotion.

Be well.

HI Eurythymia,
The fiction forum is pretty dead but I did start another chat 'what are you reading now?, list and chat' on the fiction forum. pretty much the same as this but is active. This discussion is still tracked by 6 people though.

I am not getting much reading in at the moment, my little boy is having ops on his feet next month. He suffers from talopes (club feet) and he is having his tendons done. He is such a brave little boy, he gets a lot of pain at night because of his boots and bars that he wears.
Hope you are all well and take care of yourselves.

Hi Jane,

I don't think it is used very much. If you are looking for a book/chat forum, I can lead you astray. :>) You're always welcome at my blog and the US Amazon site has quite a few visitors. The cozy group is fairly active.

Facebook is also pretty social, but harder to learn and somewhat messy to follow.

One of my favorites is probably

The book corner is very friendly with lots of discussions:,9.0.html

There's also a writers corner although it's much harder to keep up with!

If you're on facebook let me know and we can connect there. The cozy group on the Amazon US site is more like this one--discussions on everything under the sun:

You are welcome to join the lot of us crazy folks there! We'd love to have you stop in. You can just create a US account and not buy a thing, but it will let you join the discussions!

Hi Maria
How are you? I don't see anything on this site now and wonder if it is being used at all?

Hi Eurythmia,

Nice to see you here. I am not on forums much anymore, but of course, I still was subscribed to this one so had to come and say hello when the trickle began. It is a busy time of year. Congrats on the reviews. That is always nice to see.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday; Christmas not so much. I skip that one was much as possible. Too much bustle and angst. I prefer the quiet! There's enough other people doing Christmas, they don't even notice if I skip!

Of course, I wish y'all the holidays of your dreams.

Hi there Maria. It's been a long time since I have had any posts; April in fact.
How are you? Was Thanksgiving good?
Getting ready for Christmas; always hectic! How about you?
By the way have now got into battleship Galactica....brilliant. Wrote some book reviews which got published!
Life is getting just a little better.

Hi there. I was wondering what has happened to everyone; it has been a very long time since I got any posts.
Thinking of you & your boys this Christmas.

Wow, it's sure nice to hear from you and even nicer that you are doing well. I haven't been reading much these past few months either. Working! I've been doing editing jobs all this year. Some non-fiction and some fiction, but it's kept me very busy. We had a nice Thanksgiving here and now Christmas is roaring down the pike. Luckily that is a small affair for us--just dinner and church.

I'm glad you're doing well. Blessings!

Hi Eurythymia,

I'm doing fine; football is in off season at the moment. We're just finishing up the college basketball tournies and baseball is ongoing. I don't watch much of either of those, but husband really enjoys the college basketball as his old college team is often in the running.

I'm busy as a bee in the garden! It's coming in nicely and I'm ever hopeful for lots of produce. So far we have enjoyed one radish and some snap peas. The snap pea season is nearly over here. They do not do particularly well in Texas, but I try them every year anyway.

My contract work as an editor is about the same. I'm busy enough that my own writing has slowed down, but I don't mind the break. When the summer heat hits, I'll be stuck either writing or editing anyway as it gets too hot to be out and about.

Goodness, I don't think I could handle a drama group, but it could be fun! And challenging!

So Maria
It seems such a long time since there have been any posts & I wondered how people are getting on. Things not so great for me work wise at the moment but probably the same for many people.
It looks like I will be starting up a drama group in my area of the UK for my church which is a bit of a challenge but exciting too.
How about you? How's the American football? Good season?

You too. Don't know what your religious beliefs are (if any) but I will keep you & the boys in my prayers.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I had no idea. I haven't been following the forums much so if you posted elsewhere I did not know. Thank God you have found a forum for dads and that you are finding strength. I'm so sorry for you loss and so happy that she was able to leave you with such a precious gift.

Oh, it's nice to hear from you and to hear that you are doing better. I'm so glad you are through the rough patch! Where in Texas is your BIL, do you know? AT least he will be in boot camp before the terrible heat hits. It's awful here in the summer.

I don't post nearly as often myself. I've cut way back on my internetting about. I have taken on part time work and that has been good for the budget. It does cut back on everything else I'm able to do, of course!

Let me know if I can assist your BIL whilst he is in Texas.
