I loved all of Millie Johnson's earlier books, but didn't like Autumn Crush, couldn't take to the characters and was a bit bored. A shame cos I have read and enjoyed all the others.

I think that's one of her most popular books.

If I remember correctly Autumn Crush was in omniscient POV and that is horrible if not done well. Few authors can really pull it off.

Don't think anyone has mentioned Belinda Jones, Cathy Kelly or Patricia Scanlan. This is a great thread, I've found some new authors to try. Sarah Webb and Sinead Moriarty are also good.

Try Lucinda Riley, Hot House Flower and The Girl on the Cliff, not necessarily " Chick Lit " but a good read.
