Can you still buy the quest books that you need a pen, paper, and a dice to play?

These were the ones I used to play... The Warlock of Firetop Mountain: 25th Anniversary Edition (Fighting Fantasy). If you want them cheap, eBay is awash with them.

I still have a load of these, I had some famous five ones as well that was similar the dice was the characters of the book. How 'simple' life was before the full on age of the computer.

You can now get electronic versions too! For the sake of the good old days I bought an app version of one..... It was pretty good actually. But you can't cheat the way I used to!! :)

I've just remembered what I thought at the time were the greatest quest books money could buy - the massive 4 volume Steve Jackson Sorcery adventure.

Sorcery! 1: The Shamutanti Hills (Fighting Fantasy Gamebook 9)
Sorcery! 2: Kharé Cityport of Traps (Fighting Fantasy Gamebook 11)
Sorcery! 3: The Seven Serpents (Fighting Fantasy Gamebook 13)
Sorcery! 4: The Crown of Kings (Fighting Fantasy Gamebook 15)

They transported me to a new world. I usually like to revisit old favourites for the nostalgia, but I've a sneaking suspicion that they will be rubbish. I think I'll leave their memory untarnished.

I was doing a signing the other day and a customer asked me if they were still being printed.

Anyone know?
