Hi there

I am looking for an old book my dad said he remembers reading when he was about 15, and from what he described I'd like to have a read of tis aswell, if I can find it as he can't remember the title, so here goes.

The book is about 3 alien hunters who come to earth. On the approach 1 of the 3 hunters goes off course and is not found, leaving the other 2 alien hunters disorientated as they've always hunted in a pack of 3.

The humans on earth at this time are primative, using stick and spear type weapons to hunt themselves and wearing furs for clothing, unlike the alien hunters who have a form of hi tech armour they wear, but are not allowed to use prjectile type weapons while on the hunt, the book describes how the weapons can expand into long blades and pole/spear like weapons.

The book is suppose to go on when the alien hunters find themselves to be the hunted, as the humans of earth at this time notice somethign is different about the land not long after the aliens arrive, and the aliens are forced to circl;e round and head back to there capsules or darts where they can be safe. The book is suppose to end with 1 alien still alive who makes it back to its pod where it hooks itself up to a life support to wait for a pickup.

Well, I've tried to go into as much detail as I could from what my dad told me, so if anyone remembers this book I'd love to know the title so I can search for it. I think year wise this would have been out around the 1970's, quite an old one.

Many thanks

Leslie

Try contacting SFX magazine - they have a feature dealing with the uncovering of long forgotten books/films
