T. Knott says:
Why is the Amazon Men's Clothing Sizing Chart different for jackets than shirts. What i mean is, the sleeve length for a large shirt is almost 30cm different from a jacket? Surely this is wrong?

M J Grundy says:
Probably shirts are measured from mid-collar at back of neck to end of cuff, whereas jacket is measured from shoulder seam to end of cuff

I've noticed that a large size jacket is only 40", how is that large, whereas a shirt in large is bigger, how can that be.
Any chance of a response Amazon?

I think it would be a great help having, in each item page, the measurements of the model that is wearing each item and the size of the item he/she is wearing, so we could compare with ourselves and have a better idea of wich size to choose, since it varies from item to item (shirt/jacket/...) or brand to brand.

I agree Rodrigo. Amazons listing process isnt set up so that we sellers can add our own size charts. We sold a ton of christmas jumpers over the festive period..and had alot of returns because compared to amazon size charts our large is a small/medium. Amazon isnt a catalogue or shop with the items all made to the same specification so its time to change...or indeed, remove the charts altogether.

We will try charging your credit card again shortly. It is not necessary to place a new order, but you may want to review the payment information for your order and make sure it is correct and current.

so i want to know wat i can do to continue my buying and since is my first time i would like to know whats the right size for someone with chest size 50 in europeans jackets. medium or large.

I have used "Visa" Debit cards for most of my online buying. the only time I have trouble is when I put the wrong number on the Security request. e.g. 12349678-- its obvious that the number 9 is wrong. so now I check that, at least once more after I type out the number. they normally ask for two numbers the large 12 digit number and the security number. Usually three digit number. Is this any help?

I would say that shirts have to be measured differently because the shoulder length would not be a standard measurement as it can change considerably depending on the style, whereas a jacket shoulder is relatively standard these days.

In the past I went to night school to make cloths. I have been sewing ever since. The normal jacket as was stated somewhere else is a standard size. but the shirts are different. some are off shoulder. some are not. to get a good shirt, I measure from the collar down to the cuff. this allows for different styles ect. it works for me.
