finally got my book onto amazon in paperback and kindle. It's called the Glass Apple, and is ther first installent of a series of books. It's based (at least for the first two books) on the earliest legends of Myrrdin (merlin), many years before arthur. It's got one review that says its comical and dark, which i like, just looking for more opinions?

It may help if you included a link to your book - searching on Glass Apple returns a lot of results.

its aimed at primarily 12 - 16yrs (i.e. my nephews!) but is for anyone who enjoys a romping good yarn. There's minimal bad language and the violence (its a fantasy novel - its compulsery...) is not written in gory detail. I'm just after an honest review from someone i don't know. Love it or hate it, if anyone reads it thats the main thing. All i can say is i had the most fun writing it and both nephews are nattering for the 3rd installment (2nd is already done, just not for public sale yet)

Hi. I've started reading The Glass Apple this morning and its only taken 1 chapter to get me hooled. I'll put reviews up on Amazon (uk and .com) and Goodreads when I've finished it. Hope this will be of help.
Andy

The blurb and review sound good but it is quite pricey for an indie book. Have you thought about reducing the price for a while? That may get you more readers and reviews.

jezzadarlo says:
The price is now set at $5.99 on amazon.com, and the uk price is worked out automatically. I think it should come down as that works out at about 3.50 - 3.90? based on exchange rate. Hope that helps

If you uploaded your book to Amazon yourself (not thru a publisher) you do NOT have to use the exchange rate price. You have the option of setting the price on your listing page. I think you'll find a much more receptive audience at a price below a , given that you appear to be an indie author. Good luck, whatever you decide.

would you please contact me on andyangel44@gmail.com. I have questions to ask about "The Glass Apple" that would be better kept off here. I ask this as a reader and lover of books

I'm at about the 60% point and really loving this book. Work permitting I'll have it done and reviewed for the weekend. (Then I'll probably read it again while I'm on my holidays next week)
With the right push this could be huge

Hello, I am new to forums but would appreciate reviews on my novel Shade of Destiny: Book One of the Foreseeing. It is the first book of a trilogy and is available on Amazon Kindle.
It is a dark fantasy primarily but also features action and horror. Shade of Destiny (The Foreseeing) Below is the blurb:

"There is an ancient prophecy, known by all who practise magic; it reached the four corners of our lands and was told to all so they too could pass it on. It spoke of a woman with black hair and emerald eyes who with her magic will free this land..."
"So what you're trying to tell us," Rueben jested, his eyebrows rose, "is that this girl, this maid, is the key to defeating the army and freeing us all?"

War is coming, one that threatens the lives of every inhabitant of the Nations. In a time of sorrow and oppression many cannot see past their daily struggle to survive. Yet a darker force looms, inciting war and feasting on the control that will surely follow. The world is slowly dying and none have the power to stop it, save one innocent maid. The unlikeliest of heros yet it is Wynn who is thrust into the role. Born and raised in the small town of Woodstone, Wynn meets a band of unusual travellers, one a gypsy, who tells of an ancient prophecy. Following the Foreseeing leads Wynn to make difficult choices and sets her on a path she does not know if she can walk. Will she shoulder the Foreseeing and save the lands or will her past stop her from becoming who she was born to be?

Fire Pool (Prophecy Stones)
The Prophecy Stones control the elements of Air, Water, Fire and Earth. They have been under the watchful eye of the Wicca since the world began. Now the Wicca has been betrayed from within.
One person might help them to restore balance, but Nesta is just ten years old. First she must find the Fire Pool but she can't do it alone and there are several who would benefit should she fail.
Nesta will rely on her friends to help her, but not all of her friends can be trusted and her enemies are vicious, desperate for power and watching her every move.
