Female lead, series, UF... any recommendations?

Okay so I am looking for some suggestions of books to read. I have already read most suggested in (http://www.amazon.co.uk/forum/fantasy/ref=cm_cd_t_rvt_np?_encoding=UTF8&cdForum=Fx7R5DCJ9UVMQT&cdPage=4&cdThread=TxOJ7LR5AM44OG#CustomerDiscussionsNew). I don't mind if its YA. I am not that into true fantasy (but if its really good please recommend anyway!) & really cannot stand alien/space books.

Kim harrison, Laurell K Hamilton, Patricia Briggs, illona Andrews, Jennifer Estep, Chloe Neill, Ann Aguirre, Lilith Saintcrow, Jennifer Rardin, Samantha Young, Richelle Mead, Jaye Wells, MaryJanice Davidson, Keri Arthur, Jeaniene Frost, Karen Chance, Kalayna Price, Julie Kagawa, Allison Pang, Meg Cabot, Carrie Vaughn - these are some of the authors whose series i have already read. Would recommend anyone looking for similar to what i am to check them out.

You could try Cheyenne, by Lisa L Weidmeir, start of a series.

(Yes, I'll openly admit that she's a friend of mine, but it's still a decent book)

You could try a new one just released this month:
No Kings No Gods No Mercy by Aurelio Martegani. There are amazing female lead characters in this Fantasy book.
The author is a friend of mine and I must say I am not usually a Fantasy fan but I got really sucked into the story because of the characters.

This is not really fantasy, and not really SF, but what it really is is amazing: the Blue Ant series by William Gibson (his most recent three books). Really any of his three series have strong and interesting females (starting with Neuromancer, which IS SF and started the cyberpunk genre), but female characters drive the theme in the Blue Ant books (Pattern Recognition, Spook Country, and Zero History). Gibson's writing is complex and very nuanced, and I find more and more in these books each time I read them. They are also available in excellent audiobook format which can be downloaded free from Alachua County Library System (well, the last two can. They don't have Pattern Recognition, although it is available on Audibel.)

try 'leaving it all behind a vagabonds tale'. Its an on the road adventure of a modern day vagabond as he comes to terms with life on and around the New Forest, England. The people he meeets and those that help him. It's a heart warming tale.

you could try faith hunter and her jane yellowrock series,the books are titled as follows:skinwalker,blood cross,mercy blade and the last one so far raven cursed.its action packed,very witty and a sprinkle of romance is added.also there is the brilliant downside ghosts by stacia kane,which literally took my breath away,its very different from anything i have ever read,dark, gritty,but also very imaginative and emotional,not for the faint hearted.

Eileen Wilks is pretty good and I love Patrica Briggs and Ilona Andrews

I'd second the Faith Hunter recommendation. Also check out Diana Rowland's Kara Gillian series, and Jenna Black's Morgan Kingsley series, and Adrian Phoenix's Maker's Song series..

The Adventures of Xenia - The Rise of a HeroIf you like dragon books you will love this one

A few missing authors so far seem to be Kristen Cashore, Maria V Snyder and Elizabeth Moon, although maybe they are the true fantasy you weren't interested in.

But a standout series you should try is the Saga of the Exiles by Julian May.

I love the "Morganville Vampires" series and the "Weather Warden" series, both written by Rachel Caine. Bothe series have strong female characters and have had me hooked from page one.

A Cat's Chance in Hell (Hellcat Series)

Highly recommend this book, the start of what looks to be a promising series...

Jasper Fforde's 'Thursday Next' Series, starting with The Eyre Affair is a good read.
