Try having a look on 4shared.com books search for some of your favourite authors. Majority of the books on there are pdf's but you will find some books that can be transferred to fit a kindle (better if you have the iPad with the kindle app) all free as this is a file sharing website. Highly recommended to save lots of money.

Highly recommend the Half Orc series by David Dalglesh, very much in the theme of RA Salvatore/forgotten realms.
Enjoyable read and with the weight of bloody (Half Orcs 1) availible free you cant go wrong.
Also enjoyed The Kinshield Saga (by KC May) and also the Beyond Armageddon Series (anthony DeCosmo) and the Terrarach series (William King book 1 currenlty free)

Hi - Try 'The Moon Stealers and the Quest for the Silver Bough.' Its a mix of fantasy, Dan Brown style trail and quest, Astronomy, Myths etc. My son read it and loved it. At the moment its free to download, pass it on.

I might have missed it, but you say a 14 y.o, but not gender? Of Darkness and Light by Lily Crussell is free this weekend. It's a paranormal Romance Young Adult novel with angels and demons, probably more of interest to a girl, but that doesn't mean a guy can't read it. I know most of the classics are free for the kindle, might be worth checking some of those out too! x

You could try; The Secret of Yusan by Graeme R Malcolm. Good adventure space fantasy suitable for 12 year olds. No swearing or sex.

How about trying Soul's Touch by Paula Hadlum. I proof read the book for her and I just love her story telling. There is some sex in it but I would be quite happy for my 14 year old daughter to read it - nothing graphic. There's fighting, magic and the main characters are both only 16. But be warned this is the first of a trilogy and I'm desperately trying to get Paula to finish the sequel so I can find out what happens next! If you're at all worried about suitability you could always ask your parents to read it first. Happy reading with whatever you choose!! :-)

Forger of the Runeblade (The Runeblade Saga) is very cheap on Kindle, and a really good read, totally age appropriate.

Garscadden says:
Aisha - not sure of you've tried Christopher's books, but they have a severe case of comma diarrhoea. Just a few sentences and your eyes start to bleed. I've rarely seen someone as bad. You should just try a couple of look insides of his books, awful, just awful, and definitely not worth the money.

Considering that Aisha IS Christopher Nuttall, or at least close enough to have the same account...
