Are ZOVERSTOCK'S feedback reviews for real?

Well, I recently got the first season of The Virginian from Zoverstocks for £6.60 used including P&P. As this set usually retails for around £40 new, or £20 used and contains 10 discs each containing 3 x 72 min episodes plus a bonus disc of interviews, I currently look upon Zoverstocks with considerable fondness.

I think for most people getting an item for a few pence plus cheap postage they are genuinely happy with their item so leave positive feedback.

Excellent supplier, always had 5* feedback from me. Never paid over £1 for an item and yet some have been mint. Bought many items for 1p + postage and everyone has been good, many excellent!

A CD arrives. The box is good, the CD has no scratches or fingermarks. Many people go ahead and leave them positive feedback.

It's only a few days later when they listen to the CD and find it skipping they realize they have been sold a faulty product. And of course by then it's too late to remove the feedback.

You can only view 8 entries at a time on the feedback page and as approximately only 1% leave a negative you might have to trawl through 15 pages to find a negative. But they are there if you look for them.

I have never had any problems with Zoverstocks. On the contrary, I've always found them an excellent source of low-priced, rarish CDs. John Lodge's Natural Avenue usually retails around the 40-50 quid mark, but Zoverstocks did it for a tenner. They also had the rare Gong album Continental Circus for the same price. Had I not already got a copy, I'd have jumped at it. The slow delivery is not a problem for me, as it's always been worth the wait.

I'm sorry others have had bad experiences, but I can only speak as I find.

Must say (once again) that I have always given them positive feedback as I have used them many times, often received mint condition products at ridiculously low prices, several at 1p!
Sometimes delivery can be a bit slow, but that really doesn't bother me much as I'm not part of the "must have it now" generation.

Well as you didn't have the courage of your convictions to leave the post in place there wasn't much option other than to make assumptions that you were the same D/head who was trying to stir things up. Something you would "have got" if you were capable of reading with understanding.

I see that you have also filed "to get" why people take an personally aggressive stance towards yourself despite the fact it is blindingly obvious to anyone, with not two brain cell to rub together but merely a single solitary cell.

Too dim to realise (or just rather full of a misplaced sense of importance) that my PS was not about you and if your posts really are to be believed your life was made unbearable because you made so many troubling purches from a bad -by your assertion - seller. Most folk have the common sense not to return for a repeat performance, hence their lives are not overly troubled, but then there is the requirement to have that 1 brain cell in order to realise that.

Not surprising people are getting a bit shirty really. There was a poster who tried to start an anti Zoverstock thread quite some time ago.
Kinda shot himself in the foot as there was more than one post along thre lines of "I've had the misfortune to buy from you as well and i know which trader is picking up repeat business, and it 'aint you "
This thread ran for months and was still on the radar fairly recently.

It must have been the best advertising Zoverstocks could ever have hoped for. Surprised you could be unaware of it and start similar threads as I would have thought seeing someone else break their foot against a brick wall would be a salient lesson. Really, the only reason I can think of for starting up again is that you own Zoverstocks and wanted to recreate the lost good publicity from the previous thread petering out.

I put business the way of traders large and small. Problems of course do arise, nobody gets it right all the time. my experience and that of the majority of posters i've read comment from is that 'stocks put it right with the least inconvenience to the buyer possible.

Given that other traders offer a far inferior service which they state is their policy it seems odd to me that no one starts threads about them yet seemingly more than one is willing to go to great lengths to disparage acompany that the vast majority of buyers do not recognise.

PS, love nad kisses to my stalker just befor I get the now obligatory no, vote no matter where or how I post. Very flattering that you should consider my paltry efforts worth the attention

Re surprise: it's unlikely the postie arrives at everbodies house at the same time giving other folk ample time to give feedback but that said. do you rush to your PC the minute a CD hit the mat or do you give it the next day, the day after that or possibly even the following week. Thus there will be feedback posted on the same day before the postie arrives at your house.

The volume of businnes done by Zoverstocks is so large that feedback can be lost in the crowd almost instantly. It appears according to time and date but tens of people are possibly giving feedback at the same time with more tens minutes later and so on.

I have used Zoverstock on a nunber of occasions as have friends, We have hit the odd problem but 'stocks sort it out immedietly on being informed. Refund or another copy, no need to trouble yourself sending back original. Can't really say faire than that as it is highly improbable that no problems will ever arrrise.

I reckon the person (post now removed I note) who started this thread is the same seller (who apperently gives really, really bad service themselve) who is constantly whinging on about them because he/she can't compete on quality let alone price.

So yes their feedback is for real, with the volume of business bound to be some negative feedback but alot of it seem to be based on the fact problems arose in the first place and not on how they were sorted out.

Some folks are just unralistic moaning minnies ( and of course michaels, just to keep things PC)
